hey man, just discovered your website, great stuff!!

i'm having a little trouble with the remap function though. when i click "optimize" it does show a message "xx days, hours, etc. faster than current setting". but all the attributes only show 17 points. and the unused points go from 14 to 0.

but i have no idea how to actually allocate the points. Lol

this happens on both firefox and safari on a mac.

am i doing something wrong?

Great work!!!!!

Can you generate plans for a certain fit that make sure all modules are online?

Well, you may create a plan for a certain ship and fit by importing it via EFT-Code style import.
However, it won't aim for modules to get them online as it is not a fitting tool Blink

It would be nice if I could export to a simple text listing of the skills in a plan. In doing this, I can simply use the Eve Skill Planning "Replace skill queue with skills listed in clipboard" feature to quickly replace my queue with a new plan.

Hello! Your website has previously worked for me, but after deleting my key and trying to upload a new one, nothing happens when I click "Add API Key". At all. It's pretty weird, I've tried 3 different browsers and created several different keys using the default access mask.
It's a shame, seeing as it's the best/(only) skill planner I could find for macintosh, and now it's broken.

Hi there,

two suggestions for the skill plan view:

1. Mark skills that are currently in the ingame skill queue of the character (so we can see if ingame queue does match the plan)
2. Mark skills that are not injected yet (so we can see what we still need to buy)

Only small changes I guess but real quality of life improvements. Keep up you good work!

Sorry but I don't play EVE much these days so I only log into the game every once in a while to queue new skills.

Hello,

it seems when u update the api, extracted skill will not be delete from your database.
At least the final SP count on the top on char sheet does not decrease if u lost skills.

I have the same issue, but i am a new user. Tried 2 browsers on linux, not on windows, so maybe that is the issue?

Hey Folks,

i have the same problem. Seems to be a cool site. Just wanted to use it.
But when i'm trying to add a api key, nothing happened.

It seems to be a js problem.

Hey guys,

I plan to release an update (2.0!) later this week which will include a fix of the bug some of you are encountering while trying to add an API key.

Unfortunately that's CCP's fault. The API somehow still delivers "extracted" skills after the extraction took place.
I tested it myself last week and the new skill list (no longer containing the extracted skills) took 1-2 days to show up on EVE's API. I don't know why this is happening but the data mismatch is happening on CCP's side so I have no influence on it.

So here it is, update 2.0!

Not many features added (other than the skill queue import) but I managed to redevelop the entire API fetching I do for the platform (the major reason for the version jump) as it caused some major troubles in the past and I always felt kinda limited by relying on 3rd party libraries.

Update 2.0:
Arrow Redeveloped the entire EVE API part of this project from scratch to be independent from 3rd party libraries and their limitations
Arrow Updated the static EVE database to February 2016 update
Arrow Added an option to import your current skill queue to a skill plan
Arrow As soon as you add an API key an API call is triggered to grab all necessary information for this specific key.
This way characters should show up on the platform immediately after you add a new API key.
Arrow Added a mechanism to deactivate expired and deleted EVE API keys automatically
Arrow Fixed an issue that prevented some users from adding API keys (ladda is undefined error)

If anyone still encounters any problems adding API keys or having their characters not showing up, please post here or send me an EVE mail so I get investigate the issue.

With this update I managed to shrink the API fetching by a large chunk again. In fact, the API is being checkec every minute and on average it takes just 1 minute and some seconds (<10) to finish the fetching for about 2,600 active API keys right now.

So have fun using teh tool and do not hesitate to post here or contact me in case you encounter any problems.

Best regards,

Legedric

Great site. started using it recently.

I got 1 thing that would make it a lot better for me. Maybe it's already in there But being able to inject implants and see what it does to the training time.

I would be able to see the difference between training time between a +3 or +4 or +5 etc.

This is mainly as I am planning to activate dual character training to get something trained on my alt. but that needs to be done within the 30 day timer. I would be able to check at witch point I can squeeze it inside 30 days.

I had to open evemon for this feature now.

I've used Skillplan for a while, it's always extremely responsive. Personally I'd say it's better than EVEMon.

Don't explain your philosophy. Embody it.

I know this bug was reported before, just wanted to bring it back up because it is quite annoying:

Issue: Prerequisites of skills are added to a plan in the opposite order. The skill levels are ordered correctly and thus it only happens when adding a skill with a chain of more than one required skills.

How to reproduce:

Use an empty or low-skilled character.
Create a new plan.
Add "[race] Battleship " to the plan. Your automatically generated plan will look like this:

[race] Battlecruiser 1-3
[race] Cruiser 1-3
[race] Destroyer 1-3
[race] Frigate 1-3
[race] Battleship 1-5

Great project. Quite useful, especially the ship browser, but I have a question:

Is there a way to figure out how many actual skill points remain to train a given skill? Or the whole queue?

EDIT: Also, maybe it's in there and I'm missing it, but can we see what skills are required to train up to a certain mastery for a ship instead of just the next one?

Hi there,

This is a great alternative to using Evemon.

Could I please suggest that you develop a text to clipboard export feature so you may circumnavigate the use of Evemon completely and enter your skill plans directly into the eve game queue.

Currently you need to import the skills plan into Evemon and then export them again into a text format that the Eve Client recognises. This would safe a lot of time.

Regards,
Samuel
