I use a MacPro ATI w a 52" Sony TV as a monitor. I have been playing EVE on this setup for months, no problems, looks beautiful.

Last night, I changed my desktop resolution on the Mac itself. When I launched EVE today, I had a very screwy, small window in center of screen, with the game out of scale - to the point where I could not see the entire options panel to change resolution.

I reinstalled the EVE app and now when I launch, it causes my monitor to say "Unsupported Signal" with a black screen.

WTF? It ran fine before, Mac resolution set as it was before, reinstalled app.

Are there preferences somewhere that have been saved even though I have re-installed?

Thanks

How do i ensure that all settings (like resolution) have been COMPLETELY wiped out before I reinstall?

It seems that something is still lurking somewhere as I can run all of my other games fine and have reinstalled EVE.

Have you tried Erasing your cache?

Go to ~/Application Support/ and erase Eve Online then start the client again.
