Yes, it's one of those posts. I'll be leaving eve here shortly, bio massing and moving right along...if you care to know why, read on. If not, no you can't have my stuff, my ships, or anything else. I already gave it those who helped me come to this realization.

I really am in love with the idea of this game. The sound, the space atmosphere have always been really awesome and unique to me. Half of my appreciation for this game comes from its art-work and general ambiance. It has a feel to it like no other.

But I've come to the realization that this game will never be for me, because of it's very nature. I strive to be the best performer at anything I do, but I don't have the time nor the will to be a good performer at EVE. Because I absolutely blow at PVP, and in this game, if you don't PVP you aren't really playing the game.

I've tried many different ways to play this game, null dweller, empire care bear, running some incursions... but I don't really want to get involved with players that much. It starts to take over, and that's just not someone I am. I just wanna log in, kick back, have a drink or two, and relax. Not chat to my space buddies. But... that's basically saying you don't want to play eve.

I've tried repeatedly to go somewhere else and do something else in the game to make my play time more enjoyable.... but then someone is bound to come along and stomp all the hell over my sand castle. But that's ok. That's what eve is all about, it just took me a long time to *really* understand that.

Maybe I'm just dumb, but eve PVP makes me panic, tense up, and generally just feel uncomfortable. Not a very good feeling from something I'm supposed to be enjoying in my spare time. Though I could see how some might enjoy that feeling. That and the time some folks put into this game, I just CAN'T compete at that level. Even if I could, I'm not sure I'd want to.

It's funny, the most fun I've had in eve was just a few minutes ago, when I gave everything I had away. One individual was mind-blown.

So, in summary, I suck at this game, and the intended way of play it offers, I do not enjoy.

Best of luck to you all.

TL;DR

Title speaks for itself though.

You can contract me your stuff in Jita if it's convenient. Amarr is an acceptable alternative.

That statement alone puts you way way ahead of most of the people who quit, they would rather believe that the game sucks, not that they suck at the game.

Good luck with whatever you try next and fly safe o7. I warn you now though, Eve has a nasty habit of dragging you back, generally kicking and screaming Evil

Can I have your corpse?

In the beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

If you haven't tried playing with alts, man, you haven't tried it all. there are some benefits.

I feel you on not wanting to get swept away by the tide of a larger group. I'm careful about signing on for that, and when I do it's only based on a desire to learn something new. but as a lone character you're limited by the design philosophy of utility vs cost... packing a lot of utility into one character looks like faction battleships or marauders, and that's not pretty. splitting it up among a few characters is... more versatile.

it's possible to play with one character, and the most powerful gameplay is in metagaming and market--things you only need one account for. but I think for most people, and in most cases, the best way to play this game is with more than one character. which it's never too late to try.

I hope you don't biomass. give away your stuff, but don't biomass.

Only if his stuff's in Jita or Amarr. It could be out in Great Wildlands and I'd still take it.

hey, question. capsuleer temporary etirement home

I value characters very much, take care of them forever, keep them training responsibly...

would you let me maintain your character for you, just in case you ever come back?

it's a thing I do. your character will never get sold, it will stay subbed and trained, and you will get it transferred back to you when you want, no questions asked.

like, if it looks like your goal was T2 Cruisers plus full supports and core skills, I'll work on that, and get in touch with you when it's almost done and we can look at what options to train up next. Funded by Team Evil, of course, I'm also fairly protective of those in my fleet, and there will be no shenanigans of characters being used unfairly or carelessly--i'll look at standings, jump clones, maybe get them some nice threads to wear, to welcome them into the crew.

they'll write letters home telling you they're being treated amazingly well, and kind..

It's a Skillqueue Spa where you relax on the couch in CQ (probably in Jita) before going out on 4/10 DED roams, moving stuff , poking around. OH and they'll meet the rest of my mates~

give it some thought. msg me.

other characters in my trust:
1 ===== R1
2 ===== R2
3 ===== R3
4 ===== R4
5 ===== R5

That's fine, you can have it. I'm not sure he could have anything I don't already have anyway. I'm gonna go find another thread to bless with my presence. I only have half an hour left before my pizza gets here and I sit down to watch the latest episode of Defiance.
