Seriously, it's not the at without a hairy guy at a table. A table with several glasses. Filled with water. That needs to be consumed.

The studio portions are usually reserved for the final weekends.

First and second weekend are being commentated on over Skype or other comms software. Last two weekends will have the studio setup and live commentary.

Seriously though, no commentary between matches,
and no music, except the eve soundtrack, half the time,
is making this day quite dull.

Actually this is a point: where is "Space Jam"?

Smile, always! ;)

It makes sense. I certainly wouldn't be able to spend a month in Iceland for this, and CCP wouldn't want to pay to put me up for a month either. We'll be back with our pretty faces in two weeks. Big smile

That's debatable.

You guys have it right, we don't have any studio segments for the first two weekends. We will not miss a chance to show ourselves on camera for the final two, however , so you will be begging for us to go back to Jita Cam soon enough.

Regarding the music, we only have rights to play our own stuff so we do. Players seem to enjoy the sound following the stream (contrary to EVE, which is weird) and violating copyright laws would remove it so we are trying not to.

Hope you guys will enjoy the rest of the tournament!

Twitch recently buddied up with Audible Magic to introduce the lovely Content ID system to their VOD service in order to scan for copyrighted music. Since a meat cleaver is better than a scalpel, the system mutes VODs in 30 minute segments if it finds any copyrighted work. They haven't introduced it to live streaming, yet, presumably because they haven't found a way to make it work.

It's a fairly big kick in the pants to streamers who play music in the background, or even to cover intermissions (read: most of them). Those who don't want to play ball should switch to another service like Hitbox.

If you're the mistrusting sort, you might enjoy knowing that there are scattered posts around the internet claiming Audible Magic has indexed indie/freely-released music from small artists in their system and is muting it everywhere online. Unless, of course, the artist registers themself and their content with Audible Magic and flags it as permitted to use. (For a nominal fee after X number of free song registrations. How generous!)

Then could you at least pick a few from the ENTIRE collection

Music is very important, please

I'm missing the CCP Soundwave Soundboard.
It was the best thing about the studio-less part of earlier tournaments.

Of course, tournament cat is still the best thing about the tournament overall.
