im looking for places where i can find tons upon tons of salvage in high sec as im manufacturing and need to be able to feed that beast of a station all the raw salvage. i have some basic combat skils (drones and lasers and a distroyer - not using this account) and i have been looking for a way to get salvage from around my area (near rens) and so far have had little luck. so ive come here looking for some help i have a ship fitted with 8 salvager I and a MTU as well to loot while i salvage as doing both is slow as hell

It's quite easy to find salvage, just start running a few missions and loot everything. Or go kill all the drone spawns that pop up in local.

For something quick I use a Catalyst, 2 salvage drones and an MTU.

But you do know that salvaging got savaged recently and you get nowhere near the minerals that you used to?

Honestly, if you're desperate for minerals, mine them or buy them.

You could ask in local if any mission runners don't bother salvaging and ask if you could tag along to get it all as well.

you could also follow the mission runners and ask if you can have their wrecks

Buy them from your local trade hub.

Go to a mission system and scan down battleships running missions and just start salvaging. If they are nice they might already have a MTU collecting all the wrecks in one place for you. Just tell them you are trying to do your bit to reduce glactic warming by cleaning up all the space garbage.

You will have to use a Probe Launcher and Combat Probes to scan them down while they are running the mission. Just remember, salvaging is legit, looting is a crime.

Or probe them and take their wrecks without premission. Then after you get some more gear, kill the angry mission runners!

Or you scan down MTU's dropped by L4 running missioners. Pirate

In highsec systems, use combat scanner probes and look for Mobile Tractor Units.

Warp to them, and salvage away.

Fit a tank and keep flying in circles. It won't happen often, but sometimes someone will shoot at you and get CONCORDED, which is hilarious and offers a chance to acquire some loot.
