This.
Someone else said sth. similar earlier.. If there's some radio event in some part of your country where they give out free concert tickets, do you get mad, too, because you didn't get one or weren't even in that region that day? Do you scream "unethical"?
Cause these tickets are the same as PLEXes:
You cannot return them for money, but you can enter the concert with them. You may be able to trade it with someone. Selling those on eBay is illegal. You save money, if you would have payed for the concert otherwise.

Same thing, exactly. Unethical, neither.

Sounded like fun, would have joined but really couldn't be arsed.

Even though I couldn't be bothered to turn up I want my plex and loot. Wait what do you mean only the people who bothered to turn up can have some.

FFS this place is like an old peoples home always moaning about something they are not happy about, it even has that faint whiff of **** you get as well.

I'm sure people if they had nothing to moan or complain about would in fact moan and complain about the fact they had nothing to moan or complain about.

So what some tosspot in a supercap got a few hundred mill for turning up in his 30billion isk ship, he probably spent most of that in ammo and fuel getting there.

It was nice to see CCP taking an active role in the game, something sorely missed the last few years.
Good work and I hope it continues. Maybe in the future smaller skirmishes with no notice.

This will at least stop the whingers moaning about PL/GOONS and any of the smaller chaps getting all the isk.

I'd put money on the plexes etc going to someone in a small and cheap ship, because it's nimble enough to actually get to the wrecks. Supercaps generally aren't very nimble.

Cyno's lit, bridge is up, but one pilot won't be jumping home.

ITT: Some butthurt minmatar fw fags (specifically autocannons anon) rage about loot. M8 u mad? WOLOLOLOLOL! "

Deal with it" Cool

Edit: I propose Autocannons Anonymous is investigated for RMT, as this seems to be their focus.

But in all seriousness, awesome event CCP. Im a little sad I missed it after the entire "WHERE IS THE CCP FLEET?!" craze we had after the initial anouncement. Hopefully I will make it the next time and add 1 more Super to the field! Maddprops CCP!

I know that Zin, but I was trying to emphasise the point that the guys in supercaps probably lost money to be in that fight.

Not even remotely the same thing. The concert tickets arnt a hidden prize. They are a known quantity. And the narrative you are using dosent fit in the context of an MMO game with a player run economy.

What happened in this event was very unethical.

Awesome sounding event, shame I was stuck at work.

About those crying that they weren't there and so not handed a prize on a gold platter.

HTFU.

Seriously your pathetic self-entitled whining gits, and now would be a great time for you to rage quit the game, I certainly won't miss you.

CCP, more events like that please, just roaming around getting into the spirit of pew pew and drawing more people into lowsec combat. And while your at it, ban supers from LowSec please.

Certainly support more events like this. But please get ready to open a surprise incursion with 50 sansha motherships and dev-piloted heavy intedictors next time to counter hot drop the hot drop and spark off some truly epic scale of whining from the ex-super-cap pilots left on the field.

Now that would really be entertainment.

Im surprised there wern't legit counter drops here tbh. Anyone with a brain should have know that if CCP was going to bring a fleet out, and gave notice, that SOMEONE in this game would hotdrop it!

I was in a fleet that was busy with non-ccp stuff but because this is the internet - I'm free to have an opinion. It would have been great fun to have fought you guys and I'm hopeful you try this semi-regularly. It's not about the loots (for me at least) but about knowing that you're in touch with the game - mixing it up with us regular folks - and most of all experiencing the game that is played.

CCP - please keep being creative with stuff that involves combat, flying in space and new challenges.

Unless I don't know about something that happened after the Tama engagement, this was quite a lame event. CCP should try a real roam through 0.0; one which includes jumping gates, avoiding blobs and hotdrops, baiting or forcing other gangs to engage you, running away and reforming after a loss.

If the goal was to get a taste of the game, this wasn't it.

It wasn't, you whiny, entitled morons.

The goal was to have a little fun and have a chance at some good loot for those that participated.

I applaud CCP for this little distraction from the mundane, everyday grind most of us end up in in this game.

Humm isn't everything in EVE if not in life a grind in someway? I must admit I love the game and play it every night, well play isn't the right word, I log in chat to my buds and watch a film.

In fact I'm probably one of the set of players that don't grind anything in EVE apart from our chops!

Anything you do in EVE is a grind if you look at it closely enough. trading, missions even PVP to a lesser extent.

It's the beauty of EVE and probably the one thing I would fight tooth and nail over if they ever tried to change it is the fact if you want you can do absolutely nothing in EVE if you want and still earn XP.

So i guess you're saying that EVE is just facebook for nerds... Smile

For the record i feel the same. EVE can be really dull at times but it has it's good moments.
