Does anybody uses a dual screen configuration for playing EVE on linux? How well does it performs? Would it be a problem if the two screens don't have the same resolution?

Make single screen for all monitors in xorg.conf.
1 monitor - 1 client with some screen resolution
run eve through - wine explorer /desktop=name[,widthxheight] [program] - with widthxheight setting

You say - two screens don't have the same resolution - ok
You can:
1. Set on biggest monitor resolution as smallest monitor.
or
2. Eve window will be height(width) from smallest monitor and width(height) will be summary from small+big monitors (part of big monitor will not use for Eve)
or
3. Make screen as 2*big monitor resolution, but part of screen will not be visible near smallest monitor.

I find with a dual screen setup eve works fine even with 2 monitors of different sizes, and resolutions. The trick is to run Eve in windowed mode and drag the widow across the the 2nd screen. Also to position things so that the monitors have the same height and position in the real world as linux believes them to. Then I use the addition area to have various secondary in game windows chat screens and the like. That said for most activities I use the 2nd screen for a browser, voip, and out of game chat. Or if I'm doing something boring like missioning/mining/hauling hulu or netflix.

Back when I used Linux I simply made two wine prefixes and put them in virtual desktops in order to dualbox.

Because the Legacy Code has too much Psssssssssssssssh, nothing will ever get fixed until CCP stop wasting money on failed sparkle MMOs and instead rewrite the entire backend of EvE from scratch.

Thanks, I know how to do that, but I'm not a dualboxer. Just want to play with a single account.
