just a note to say that eve has reconnected for me having been down before .. all areas accessible (uk midlands -Tesco ISP)

Placing the server in VIP mode is fair, but not after 5-6 hours of being accessible ONLY to half of the globe!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Should have been in VIP mode soon after all this started, this morning at 8 GMT.

Here's a thought though... Since you have a Page on FACEBOOK.. Why not post that you have issues there and let people know... I had issues trying to get logged into to the Site for Eve to figure out what is going on.


Not really corporate thinking to admit you have issues until you have solved the problems at least part way to show progress.

Im in upstate NY in the USA and cant get the game to show any connection to the Tranq server. Also, Received an error message last night saying that my connection was USURPED before receiving a closed socket message thereafter, Was AFK cooking when it happend.. Now, I have never nor do I now, share accounts so im confused as to why i received that USURPED message since i have never gotten it before and now the server is completely unreachable. Hope this either helps or has nothing to do with it at all.. either way.. help a guy with a Broken leg get back to gaming so i dont die of total boredom.. Thanks guys and gals at CCP

I'd but money on this being due to one of CCP's upstream suppliers being staffed by ******* morons who (despite all the warnings) ignored what would happen when BGP FIBs exceeeded 512k - which happened at 0812UTC this morning.

I'd put further money on the previously aforementioned ******* morons being TeliaSonera or at a push L3.

Edit - ebay, Amazon AWS are probably the two most prominent casualties of this screwup although as they have much bigger budgets/bandwidth than CCP they rapidly dropped TeliaSonera routing to fix the issue.
