Tranquility in VIP Mode - Login & Connection Issues - 12/08/2014

Hey guys,

Apologies for the connectivity issues some of you are experiencing right now. We're currently having a few login issues and are investigating.

I'll update this thread once I have more information.

09:40 UTC - OUR OPERATIONS TEAM ARE CURRENTLY WORKING ON INVESTIGATING CONNECTIVITY ISSUES
10:30 UTC - OUR SERVICE PROVIDERS ARE CURRENTLY WORKING ON INVESTIGATING SEVERAL ISSUES
11:00 UTC - THIS APPEARS TO BE A THIRD PARTY ISSUE - WORKING WITH PARTNERS TO RESOLVE IT
12:10 UTC - TRANQUILITY WILL BE REBOOTED IN VIP MODE IN 10 MINUTES
12:20 UTC - TRANQUILITY IS NOW IN VIP MODE
12:50 UTC - CURRENTLY STILL NO ESTIMATE ON WHEN THE ISSUES WILL BE RESOLVED
14:50 UTC - VIP ON TRANQUILITY HAS BEEN LIFTED - TQ IS AVAILABLE FOR PLAYERS AGAIN

The issue appears to be with the Level3 routing between New York and London.

Launcher and forums not accessible from Warsaw, Poland but all good from Vienna, Austria. Well, forums work at least, can't really install Eve at work :)

What I'm trying to say is it probably is more than NY - London routing :)

Working from Houston, TX on Verizon 4G. Broken from same location on AT&T DSL.

Issues here, too. We are in Manchester UK.

Can connect via local Manchester VPN, but not directly - only EVE and EVE related websites affected. Appears (with my limited understanding of networking and the fact that local proxy IP connects O.K.) to be a mass IP block, rather than server issues?

Potentially DDOS recovery/mitigation procedures?

Problems from some ISP's in Norway, with game and webpage. Looks like general routing issues in London. My ISP said that people playing League of Legends in Europe towards London has also been complaining about that today.

Having problems with the forums and launcher with my UK ISP, can connect to the forums via a UK proxy though.

In the beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

Apperently alot of london and uk is having connectivity issues, not just eve.

Having the same problem with Eve Forums/webpage and Client in St. Paul, Minnesota. However, I can access the forums using TOR Browser, which for those that don't know, is a browser that uses proxy IP addresses to surf the web.

From traceroutes in areas having the issue versus those not, there seems to be problems once you enter CCPs network. Specifically packet loss on traffic routed through 195.66.226.23. Traffic from outside the effected areas does not take a route through this IP and has no Packet loss.

Issue is the same here in australia (QLD)...no go via telstra DSL

I can however acces the website via our (work) servers in melbourne (how im making this b**ch post)

I wonder if it's possible to reroute the flow of data to avoid the affected IP address?

Also since no one else has said it yet,

Forum/eve down from finland with my home DNS (sonera) however all is working at work that has a danmark dns
