Where to find exception log messages

Recently got a new laptop and finding Eve rather unplayable with Wine. I think the root of the problem is that the client is outputting a ton of error messages like:

Quote:

An exception has occurred. It has been logged in the log server as exception #24329
An exception has occurred. It has been logged in the log server as exception #24330
An exception has occurred. It has been logged in the log server as exception #24331
An exception has occurred. It has been logged in the log server as exception #24332
An exception has occurred. It has been logged in the log server as exception #24333

I'm getting about 20k/minute, so thinking that is the source of the slowness. The problem says it had an exception and logged it, but I have no idea what is actually happening.

My old laptop works just fine though, still totally current, but different hardware.

Distro: Archlinux
Kernel: 3.15.8
Wine 1.7.23

Old laptop: 2012 MacBook Pro 15" Retina, nvidia adapter
New laptop: Lenovo Thinkpad X240, Intel HD4000

I know the nvidia would likely perform better than the intel, but 20k errors/minute seems to make even the login screen unusable.

Any help would be appreciated.

Damn, it was my own fault.

On my new laptop, I had written a script to handle which virtual session to use, since I often ran multiple clients. Unfortunately, I had the script called "eve" in my home folder. Wine sees it as case insensitive, so the Eve client was logging an error every time it tried to create the "EVE" folder. Grr, feel dumb now. :)

Just for the record: You can view logged exceptions with the LogServer.exe located in the Eve base-directory.

Damn, I got 3 FPS with these errors, thinking WTF!

I had a script "EVE" in my home directory, renamed it and got 60 FPS with maxed graphics.

Thanks for this thread!
