Disallowing PLEX on PUBLIC contract

For those saying PLEX should be different because it's from RL money is silly. I can argue ALL ISK is from RL money. It doesn't matter if I get scammed out of a PLEX or a billion ISK from a margin trading scam. The end result is the same.

Of course no one has an argument to this.

The only way I might feel sorry for someone who fell for a PLEX scam was they never went to school and didn't learn how to read. Most people are just in a hurry and don't bother to read the contract.

No for several reasons:

1.) I don't believe PLEX should be some sacred cow that can't be used for scamming. Scamming is an important part of this game, and always has been.

2.) I have no sympathy for people that can't pay for their accounts. It is nice they can grind isk and swap it with some other person for Game time, but they aren't entitled to game time just because they grind. It is a balance, and if the going rate of plexes is too high for people to comfortably grind in a month, that means we have too many people trying to fund their accounts in that manner.

1) I agree scamming is part of EVE and should be, just not on PLEX

2) if those people didnt exist, the sale on PLEX would drop badly, people not trading buy PLEX to save RL money

@ IIshira
I didnt get scammed, and i do pay for all my account and i do have 5 accounts

1.) I don't understand why PLEX should be a sacred cow? We can scam people for Titans and T2 BPO's and other items that are worth far, far, far more than a single PLEX. Why should PLEX be special?

2.) That is a strawman's argument. We will always have people that grind for game time, and just like we have people that make efficient use of their time by buying PLEX rather than grinding for Isk. The trick is to find a balancing point, done by the market. If you can't grind enough to buy a PLEX, support your playstyle, AND have a rainy day fund for when you fall for a scam, or get suicide ganked, or just **** up and lose expensive assets, then you should fork over the RL money to CCP. If you can't afford that, then you should go mow someone's grass or shovel a driveway for an hour so you can buy your next month of play time. The ability to grind isk and swap it to another player is nice, and mutually beneficial, but not guaranteed. The price point of PLEX is not guaranteed either, and subject to spikes and pitfalls. Choosing to fund your account in this manner is a risk that you must accept if you hope to play for your in-game grind time.

But for those who cannot afford to pay subs and have someone else by a plex which they with work can buy in game, will in the end have a RL money value for that person, and he can save RL money.

Sorry, but that is not how economics works. A coupon is not money, nor will it ever be.

Iv been playing online games since 1996, and i assure you, its not one in a million, just in the 581 members we have within alliance i can name quite a few, and know quite a few who have stopped playing due to the high plex prises atm.

As I have said before. If you can't afford $15 every once in a while you shouldn't be playing an MMO. PLEX is a way to occasionally get a free month. Not a way to play for free. Trying to turn it into one is just setting yourself up for disappointment and failure.
