Dear fellow Capsuleers,

this might be my last forum post, as what I'm gonna reveal to you all here is possibly the most closely guarded secret in the cluster, and as a consequence of speaking about it in public, I may well be marked for death by all of the cluster's intelligence agencies and freelance operatives.

While roaming the backyards of drone-controlled space well out of reach of the empires, I stumbled upon staggering clues about the Jovian empire, and their connection to the Eve gate and Earth itself. These clues indicate that the well-known empire, widely considered as the most advanced and strongest of the Cluster, has had a comm link to Earth for quite some time, since shortly before CONCORD was founded to be the mediator between all the people in the Cluster. It even appears that the superior technology that Concord uses in its ships is directly originated from Earth, in the form of blueprints transferred from Earth to the Jovians via the comm link.

There was no indication as to how the Jove obtained the comm link, but my guess would be that the tech advancement logically didn't stop on Earth after the Eve gate collapse, and eventually the old world managed to establish subspace communication with the cluster, and the Jovians being the prime target for their first transmission, because apart from the genetical disease, the Jovians didn't suffer through the dark ages, with accompanying shortfalls on scientific and technological progress.

This is a call to all the people and their respective governments in the Cluster, to go back to the Eve gate and start its reconstruction, or at least full focus of research toward determining even a chance to rebuild it, in contrast to today's attempts of marginal groups whose efforts are widely considered and sadly accepted as utterly futile.
With sincerest regards

Dex Cordell,
a lone roaming wolf. See you in space.

(P.S. to CCP devs: didn't know where to put this post exactly, so I tried to find the closest match in the forums. Bump the storyline forward a bit :))

This should probably be moved to the IGS.

As I've heard it, the old world was at war when the wormhole to New Eden was discovered. The years following there was peace while they expanded into New Eden. After the connection was broken the old world descended into war again.

It's rumoured that Jove have somehow cloaked old world super weapons and ordinance that float around the EVE gate. The current Amarr Empress is said to have found and used one of them and neutralized a Minmatar capital fleet with one shot. If just one can do that, how much of similar and even more destructive weaponry was left on the other side? With all their advanced weaponry they've most likely annihilated each other by now.

It's also known that the current site of the wrecked EVE gate is emits enormous amounts of radiation thus reconstruction attempts are probably equally futile.

However, this is not the first I've heard that the Jove have contact with the old world. So you never know! Smile

Another interesting rumour I've heard is that two of three known Jove Motherships have left the cluster for an unknown destination.

why yes, by all means let's fly close to the cosmic anomaly that rips any ship that gets within a few hundred AUs of it to tiny pieces and vaporises those pieces and then flings the resulting atoms all across the cluster and possibly backwards in time who knows. We can do a little DIY while our electrons are being knotted up like spaghetti.

You don't built a nice little log cabin in the middle of an erupting volcano. You don't build anything in the middle of an erupting volcano. Some environments are just too hostile for construction work.
