Videogames are not real. I should not have to explain that to an adult.

But sociopaths are, and they will stay themselves in game too. And this is not an issue of being another type of character while in game or something, even if IRL they are mostly nice and easygoing ppl (and it's quite possible), if they sticking to such activities (and not to, say blowing someone in FW, or in lawless space), if they just love this "collecting tears" procedure - they have it in them. Just deeply buried and unleashed only in the game "which is, like, not real", but it's there. But rich selection of behaviorial deviations demonstrated by Eve's players has nothing to do with the topic actually.

I love how you can, with all your infinite internet psychological abilities, ascribe motivations to the simple act of winning at a game.

I also totally imagine that it isn't just sour grapes at being the loser, either.

Oh, and as for your complaint about "tears".

I haven't said it's "wrong". I said such activities became too much of a bother from the last time they were attended by CCP, and perhaps the current ease of isk earning and character's aquisition haven't been properly assessed. Rapid spreading of "ganking for fun" in HS is indicator that balance should be hammered back in place again, and perhaps with new approach assuming especially severe punishment for ganking unprofitably, by whatever means it would be achived.

I also said that ganking for fun is an indicator of sociopathic tendencies and I inteld to adhere to this opinion further on, and I said it has nothing to do with the topic. Mental health of each and every Eve player should stay his/her own concern.

It's already balanced. People who don't defend themselves are supposed to die, no matter what number is on their cargo hold. That is working as intended.

Oh, and by the way. There is no "rapid spread of ganking". CCP's own numbers show that ship deaths in highsec are embarrassingly low. If anything it's about time to slow down CONCORD response speed. I'd say doubling the response time would be about fair.

Oh, if only that were true. If you were sincere about that, you'd stop bringing it up, stop trying to use it to discredit a style of gameplay you don't like.

But you know full well what you're doing when you sling around negative connotations like that, you filthy carebear.

I love it too, these my supernatural psychological abilities. And as you immideately resorted to atempts to collect some tears from me, I can only lean back in my chair and smile triumphantly. Give me a minute to enjoy myself.

Oh, you're mistaking a call out for an attempt at tear collection. And I imagine you're aware of this, thus it's an attempt to save face, since you can't actually refute my claim that you, and all carebears, are inherently losers, "have-nots", peasants, plebs.

You would like to think that other gamers look down on you because we're mean, or jealous, or bad people, or whatever other reason you can conjure up to assuage your last few shreds of self esteem.

But I think even the least among you knows that real gamers look down on you because you are nothing but prey animals. You are sheep, fit only to be sheared and butchered.

What I aware about is your attempts to save your own face even more dishonest. Like, claiming that I what I said was

despite what I said was that very specific, marginilized part of community - despicable "gankers for fun" of HS t1 industrials and shuttles - are to be blaimed for exposing such behavior. Or was that some pitiful attempt to demarginalize yourself and return to the ranks of us, decent and respectable New Eden citizens, be it for for a moment? Do you despise yourself that much? It's just a game, take it easy, pal Big smile

Nothing about that is despicable. In fact it should be happening more often, because clearly people aren't getting the message to stop being afk in open space.

Those punks I mentioned above think that there is nothing despicable in damaging state property too. How comes you have so much in common? Were you a punk in the past?

In fact it should be happening less often, because clearly CCP aren't getting a message that all HS activities that don't generate large amount of profits should be made attendable in semi-afk mode with little risks.

Videogames are not real. They cannot be equated to real life in such a manner.

Quite the opposite. In fact, I would find it quite amusing if, for one day, setting your ship's auotpilot would automatically self destruct your ship and pod.

It would serve them right. Play the game, or don't bother logging in.

You just have been keeping pretend that you stick to legitimate discussion for to long that it could be any more fun. Do my part of a job and report your posts for offtopic too, as I'm too engulfed by the feel of moral superiority atm.

So what? Their characters are not, their in game possessions are not.

Nothing in EVE Online is real. Just like nothing in Monopoly is real, those are not real hotels, they are not playing with real money. I can take your game money and you are dealt no harm in real life.

Well, unless you're the kind of sissy excuse for an adult who gets butthurt about losing a simple game. But those people are fun to laugh at, so they get special attention.
