make a cloak only last for 5 minutes so you have to be there to restart it

I'm going to keep talking about this until a change is made. The fact that a lot of people will say "OHHH here we go again" shows many people feel very strongly about it, because it is a constant topic.

If the cloaky is AFK, how can he hurt you. He is AFK and thus cant do anything.

Ever thought of having friends around and doing stuff together.
Ever thought of moving a single system.
Ever thought of using a PvP ship

Yeah I don't try to **** people off but sometimes I get opinionated. I think some people can have thin skin and get easily offended. I think thick skin should be required in Eve and it really helps in RL.

I think the reason I made this pilot was originally a scout alt but I got into the forums with her. Is it bad sometimes I would rather post on the forums than play the game? Lol.

BTW I'm surprised this thread isn't locked yet... Maybe ISD are asleep Lol

Agreed, this thread is somewhat redundant.

Still the op isn't hiding the fact as the title says it all 'I'm starting another Cloaky Camper Thread'.

Nerf Local! As a cloaky I find it completely unrealistic that someone can even know I am in system. How do they know I am afk, if I am cloaked.

I think this should be changed asap. You only appear in local if you talk in local.

probably all alts of 1 guy that occasionally do something to make them seem like real people who are not afk always or bots.

BUT if you are afraid of AFK campers, find killmails they are on, add that corp and some of the killers who are often on those kills to watch list.

4 people just log in with 30 seconds? gtfo.

I think what we have here is a case of Schroedinger's Locked Thread. The thread clearly violates the forum rules, and the ISDs have surely seen it, so we know for certain that it will be locked. But it isn't locked. Therefore, this thread can be considered both locked and unlocked at the same time until an ISD shows up to confirm its official state of lockage!

I like how most of you are saying that an afk cloaky camper can't hurt you. Apparently you have never been hotdropped. The fact you can instantly drop as much combat power on my unarmed ships at any moment you choose doesn't even make sense. It is terribly unbalanced.

And I do appreciate that so many of you are annoyed by this post but are still taking time to follow it and post. It is a little cloaky camper payback for me.

Honestly it's an easy fix (assuming it needs fixing).

AFK for too long? Get the boot back to character selection screen. Done.

No one who is afk can activate a module.

An afk and cloaked player cannot hurt you, by definition.

Oh, and it's your own fault if your ships are unarmed. If you don't want to be a prey animal, start flying combat ships like the real players.
