You missed the point entirely.

The police are not involved. It gives corporations the right to go after people and their sites directly.

Lets use cars....

Imagine you're driving down the highway at 20mph over the speed limit. Instead of a cop pulling you over, someone from Toyota forces the DMV to tell them who you are, then has them take your license, and if lots of people speed they make the government shut down that road.

EDIT---
Okay I'm not really happy with that analogy and it's probably not neccesary... Point being, this is the opposite of a police state. This is putting a leash on our government and handing it to corporate America. But there I go with analogies again. Have to stop that...

WOW that link makes me wish someone would just burn down my hole government, no wonder nothing ever changes around here.

that link should be front page news and posted everywhere

All automated intel should be removed from the game including Instant local/jumps/kills/cynos for all systems/regions.Eve should report nothing like this to the client/3rd party software.Intel should not be force fed to players. Player skill and iniative should be the sources of intel.

The people who lead a business tend to know a lot about that business.

SURPRISE

I hate lobbyists, and I definitely agree there's too much corporate control in our country, but it's not quite as dismal as they would have you believe. Conflict of interest is certainly real, but if we assumed everyone who'd ever worked for anyone was conspiring to rob us blind we'd have no one to work with. Asking a former member of a major company for advice, is preferable to guessing. The important thing is to pick a leader you trust to evaluate people.

Ron Paul IMHO, but Obama wasn't bad (even Herzog's chart agrees.).

I've actually met the man who created this bill, Lamar Smith. He's just one of those over-zealous, moral crusading, self-righteous asshats. Out of 700,000 people in his district, a very small percentage actually vote.

I love Texas but we have a large sum of dumbasses as politicians.

It's why I always vote Libertarian.
