So yesterday I made a blog so that I could post a very long "tear" chat log.

Then I started getting into it and posted up some content, including a guide to basic local scams I was paid to write a while ago and another funny log.

Bottom line is, I've started a blog on local scamming in Eve. Maybe someone will find it useful or funny. So here it is...

Princess Bride's Eve Scam Blog

If you are interested in running scams in local, or enjoy tears, you should find some value here. If it receives a positive (or even a severely negative) reaction, I will continue to add content as it becomes available.

From the blog:

" For example, if you are thinking about selling a Republic Fleet Firetail as a regular Firetail, be sure that the market volume is high on regular Firetails and that there are plenty of buy/sell contracts for Republic Fleet Firetails. High market volume means lots of eyes on your scam. The players most interested in Republic Fleet Firetails are going to be players flying regular ones."

Lolwut

I used to have a clever sig but I lost it.

I could have been more clear there. Have you ever seen a contract for a Republic Fleet Velator? Many "Republic Fleet" Velators (normal Velators sold as such) are sold via contract in Jita local. Of course there is no such thing, but scam contracts for them sell well. The reason these sell is because often times newer players believe that they are getting what must be an improved version of something they know they can fly.

Of course, there is no "regular" Firetail, which does make my example lol-tastic. But you get my meaning.

I know how the scam works, but when you mentioned selling a faction ship as a regular ship that doesnt exist my brains melted and ran out my nose :-p

Big smile

To be honest, I churned some of the content out as a part of a semi-scam/semi-job for a Greek player hiring me to write a "scam guide" only months after I began playing the game. So there will be errors. I have corrected a few after scanning through it, and I'll correct the ones people take time to point out, but I'm not going to bother going through it all with a comb making sure it's perfect in every detail. I just don't care enough to do it.

The fact that (I assume) you scammed him on a scam guide drew a grin, +1. These look fascinating, I might have to look into some quick isk with these, thanks!
