It depends on the kind of PVP you're doing. IMO, Nothing beats the rush of fast frigate combat, especially when you're alone and against the odds.

It would probably explain why there are suddenly more people playing WoT these days. The PvP in there is always a rush. I even saw a guy named TheGoonswarm yesterday (with incredible stats)

Those Goons! They suck at Eve but looks like they are awesome at WoT !!

(Bro how can you have stats like that!)

so many risk averse people on WoT too. wait, those might be eve players! Lol

In a few moments you will have an experience that will seem completely real. It will be the result of your subconscious fears transformed to your conscious awareness.

Taking on a frigate fleet in 4-5 Long range Interceptors. Barely managing to hold point while barely staying outside the enemy scramrange (or failing to do so).

Flying my beloved guntanked catalyst. Killing whatever (bait) comes into my plex just seconds before their reinforcements arrive (or failing to do so).

I find myself time and time again screaming "F****CK!" or "F******CK YES!"

You're like a fighter that doesn't get nervous before fights.

It makes you better being able to detach emotion and think clearly - you're a serious killing machine now - revel in your destructive power! Cool

Even though I've been at it more than a decade, I still get a panic attack when my squad comes up on a flight of HE111s and I'm sitting in a wood and cloth Hurricane with 30 seconds of ammo. Nothing kicks the adrenaline in like bouncing a bunch of bombers from the sun, knowing they are guarded by a group of expert players flying Emils that can shred you in a second.

Oops...wrong game. Uh...EVE...it's like playing horseshoes for PVP excitement. You need immersion to suspend disbelief and a third person spaceship clickfest just doesn't cut it. I have yet to feel more than mild interest in what's happening on the field of battle in this game.

Start using wifi in a public place, and every time you lose a ship, you take off an article of clothing. It is guaranteed to get exciting one way or the other.

Raise the risk factor.

EVE PvP rush is all about the risk of losing something. Unless you tell me that you frequently do Titan's drive-by, drop Nyx on thrasher or fly 5bil Orthruses against overwhelming odds, I don't think the fun has ended for you yet.

do some small gang FC'ing . This was never my primary combat pilot, but now doing lowsec stuff, and WH's with whatever derps that want to learn. its great fun all over again.

Tell you what I do like though: A killer. A dyed-in-the-wool killer. Cold-blooded, clean, methodical and thorough.

It all comes down to experience in pvp and your situational awareness.
I very very rarely get an adrenaline rush in pvp anymore either, apart from rare moments.

90% of the time going into a fight, i know the enemy, and I know my own skill and ship well enough to know that i'll either obliterate them without much of a fight, or I will have the option to GTFO if needed.
As for fleets, I know my corp mates and my FC are competent enough to make the right calls and keep us alive.
And as someone else mentioned, the lack of adrenaline is in fact only a good thing. It ensures you're on top of your game, and you're not getting tunnel visioned. This is also beneficial to your fleet, and you should consider FC'ing or flying Logi since you will be able to multitask like a baws without the tunnel vision and the "Wtf am i doing lol" feeling.

And because I have this level of confidence, knowing what fights to take and which to avoid, I eliminate pretty much all the risk. It's just a matter of, as you said, warp in, click, click, boom.

And as for the times when i DO get an adrenaline rush, it's the moment when I'm outside my own comfort zone, and I'm not 100% sure as to what the outcome will be.

Grab a Nomen and start kiting entire fleets of frigates. You'll know exciting.

Drop the hammer on some peeps with 6 x RR Dominix multiboxed by yourself. You'll know exciting.

Usually people state examples in threes but I can't think of anything else so I'll just type this instead. You'll know exciting.

Too easy to exploit, but it would be interesting if there was a hard core option. You get faster training or something at the cost of having only one clone.

Well instead of somebody telling you where the easter eggs are you kinda need to make that great big discovery that theres more than just easter eggs in life and set out on your own to make that discovery.

Here's how I look at it, to me it's not "what if I lose this 3 bil costing hilarious OP ship while knowing it really isn't gonna happen because the targets are dumb or in the wrong ships while I have scouts, RR, links and backup", but rather "what can I get away with in this T1/cheap T2 ship, all solo, that really shouldn't kill anything and how many can I kill before (if) they manage to take me down".

Increasing risk due to cost doesn't work, you have to increase risk by... increasing risk; get into a situation with a ship that SHOULD lose, and then try to pull it off anyway. People get bored because they play it safe and are afraid of losing a ship to a point where they invest so much (isk wise, fleet, organisation) that they really can't lose.

Yes, yes I am. Thanks for noticing.

Ransoms might actually get paid, and bounties would have real meaning then.
