[Supers] Remove Supercapital Immunity to ECM

Just what it says on the label. A call to remove the scripted immunity to ECM for super-capitals.

Why change the current mechanics

  1. Supers are immune to several mechanics of the game and this is fundamentally bad design as it means they can only be attacked in a very limited number of ways unlike almost everything else in EVE
  2. ECM is the final hail mary play of a small fleet getting blapped, or a tackled shiny solo.
  3. Supers don't have any good reason to be fully immune to this, like the massive warp core needed for a jump drive providing effective tackle immunity from regular points.
  4. Chance to nerf super-ratting in jam heavy space (slightly)
  5. Sub-caps are almost entirely ineffective against more than 3-5 capitals and even more so against supers, and this partially corrects this

Implementation:

  1. Raise supercap base sensor strength to provide practical immunity to unbonused/solo ECM ships. Roughly 200 for supercarriers and 250 for titans seems appropriate as an off the cuff number. This means massed jams or a squad of bonused subcaps can make a reasonable difference and get semi-reasonable chances to get a jam up.
  2. Remove the scripted immunity for supercapitals.
  3. ????
  4. Profit!


Why this implementation:

  1. Supers retain most of their advantage in this case, while allowing a chance to negate them with enough ECM
  2. Supers are overpowered without the ECM immunity, this helps level the playing field without being a nerf that makes no sense lore or mechanics wise

What ist with Remote sensordampner to make the same afforts here the super needs to get a targetrange around 5k km and a scan resolution of about 3-5k .

When you remove it you don´t nee some HIC you can just tackle them with and intercepor and web them.

I don´t agree with the OP.

Pretty sure he only want ECM to work on them so no inty pointing or damping to 5km range and ridic resolution.

The best argument about why we should remove supercap EWAR immunity is so more supers get tackled by frigates and killed.

ECM and damps make sense to effect supers if they effect any capitals. This thread is specifically about jamming though.

Thread is specifically about ECM, not tackle. The requirement to infipoint or bubble them is unchanged by this proposal.
