It's been working fine for me, although very slow at some times of day.

Okay, today, when I authenticate my login, it throws me back to the login screen. Anyone else seeing this?

It's beginning to look like I either need to get out of T1 production, or find some other app to support it. I don't really want to build spreadsheets or try to build my own copy of this thing. Any suggestions?

I don't understand what part of "no longer supported" is causing confusion.

As for suggestions, IPH (or, really, any other industrial tool ever made) and a modicum of common sense still work just fine.

I understand "no longer supported" just fine, thank you. I wasn't asking "Goddammit, who's going to fix this, and why isn't it done already?" I was asking if this was some problem at my end of this, or if everybody sees it.

SJ said the app was going to remain available, though on a "free" site, and with no support. It now appears that either that is not the case, or something has broken the app. Either way, yeah, go do something else.

Turns out whatever the problem was, it was temporary.

Obviously I've been on hiatus. I indicated 4 Feb would be the sunset date, and only today I converted to the free subscription. There has been some work on the repo by a volunteer to get self-hosted EPM viable, maybe that'll get some more traction. Zafrian has also burned out. You can't imagine the level of effort to bring production quality software to a robust reliable state when working solo unless you've done it. Doing it solo with an almost void level of reward means it will always have an expiry.

I had a look today and some of EPM's long-term users are still ticking along. I agree it sucks having to do this on spreadsheets, but if this is a project that deserves to live, the level of effort to run it locally isn't insurmountable. My last month I clocked over 20bil profit and a third of a tril NAV and at that point even the personal challenge was gone.

I absolutely loved using this tool, I was fortunate to find it when I started playing and it kept me going a few more months than I would have by preventing a spreadsheet burnout for production calculations. Took a little hiatus from the game and saw SJ Astralana had stopped hosting the site. Real shame that but, I can only imagine the monetary cost of running the app plus the obvious effort put into the code of the application got old after a while. Still, at least we got the source and some good experience with EPM -- thanks JTD!

Anywho, the now-locked forum thread announcing the retirement of the web app had a couple of people pulling the source from bitbucket and trying to get it to build to hopefully run a local version of EPM. I was just wondering if anyone else was still working on this or if everyone just gave up after seeing those dependency errors?
