So I recently ran past 25M skill points and need to celebrate. Also i find this competition lame*.

So I thought i would give this content creation thing a try myself.

I am proud to present a competition running in August to the pilot who can get the most kills *in* a Venture.

NOTE that this is highsec, lowsec and null, even JSpace! No restrictions on where you do your killing.

[b]Prizes! Updated

1st Place: 4 PLEX

2nd Place: 2 PLEX

3rd Place: 1 PLEX kindly donated .. by "anonymous".

1 fleet issue Hurricane to the most CODE kills donated by Lan Wang.

5 Prospects to be decided.

The Rules:

1). All victims must be older than 40 days old.

2) Victims must be unique and not in the same corp or alliance.

3). You must be the final blow or Top Damage on API verified killmails in a venture, or the kill does not count. Kills can be anywhere. highsec, lowsec, nullsec or even Jspace.

One exception is that if all others on the killmail are NPCs (I can't remember if that always gives you final blow or not. But gank victims that get a shot off or with drones count as a kill).

4). The time of the kill must be between 1st August 0:01 eve time and 31st 0:00 Eve Time, as stated on the killmail.

5) All kills need to be on zkillboard. (got to to sort it out somehow, suggestions welcome)

6) There may be a added requirement to submit kills somewhere. You will have at least 1 week after August to do if this does become a requirement.

7) You must enter the competition, by way of replying to this thread with a comment on the awesomeness of ventures.

Please Note that i am running this competition personally and has no affiliation with my corp, alliance or Spectre Fleet. But I kindly request my corp/alliance mates to not enter. That just always looks bad when they win, even if fairly.

* I defend CODEs right to play the game as they see fit. I see nothing wrong with what they do. Not the same as I would play the game that way.

This competition seems to have more taste. Just question though. Do low sec kills in venture count too, or is it only high sec?

We should come up with a prize for the most ventures killed BY Ventures!

This is why I love eve. "The evil douche bags of highsec" start a competition which entails murdering "defenseless mining ships" and a hero arises. His valor then brings forth more champions who rally to the cause.

There are too many cry babies who just use keyboard strokes to fight us in game. This is how eve should be played and I think this is really awesome. I hope this has a wonderful turnout.

August 1st will be known as the day that highsec opened it's eyes. Delt0r Garsk I hope you continue this sort of content.

Oh yes. Will undock a battle venture and try my hand at this. All hail, mighty Battle Venture!

Also, I'd like to add a prize: most valuable kill made by a solo Venture gets a Ninja Special -Blockade Runner, Cov Ops Frigate, and Stealth Bomber hulls of choice, plus a Prospect Hull.

Not a bank-breaking prize, but I think it's in keeping with the role of the Venture :)

Yay! Some entries.

If you look at my killboard you will note a kill or 2 with a venture followed by our whole fleet getting pipebombed. I was frapsing for some promotional material for this comp, but run out of HDD space.

Updated the rules to make it clear that NPCs on killmails are ignored. That is if your ganked in your venture and you manage to get your drones onto the gankers. They all count as kills even with concord doing all the work.

I don't remember if that always gives you final blow or not. But for this comp just ignore all NPCs on killmails.

I don't think you could be any more tasteless than this. Still, props for actually doing something instead of crying all over the forum.
