Still feeling somewhat exiled? That's funny, I thought Omir and his kin found themselves very comfortable in Delve.

Might want to join up with the Caldari in a 'give us our ancestral home back' campaign. Or learn from the Intaki and stop complaining.

I just don't like Odelya very much.

Something something something, Khanid 'duchess' with ideas above her station, something something. I don't know.

My own reasons are simple enough:

An Exarch of the Khanid Kingdom once asked me on the basis of my faith. I told him that I follow the Way of Kasuuya on the Path of Exile, and that just as the Lord must hide behind their Word; the Actor must hide behind their Mask; the Soldier must hide behind their Sword; so must I build a Temple so that I turn it into Dust.

Upon asking me for the meaning, I could only respond that for some they come to know no other life but the warmth and safety of the flock. For others they choose to leave the flock to seek The Mountain, Kaalakiota, and once they spread their wings into the Winds of Cold and Storm where they go and what they learn only Lord Tengu will know.

You are correct. They do not belong to either the Amarr or the Minmatar. The Bleak Lands, just as everything else in the cluster does, belong to God.

I follow God, not the temporal ambitions of whatever Emperor or Empress is currently on the Amarrian throne. God has given dominion over all creation to those that follow and fight for him. By consequence those lands belong to those who have chosen to follow him, and partake in his divine bounty.

Following this logic, the Bleak Lands belong to those who uphold God's Will in this torn and blasted cluster. Are you among the faithful? Then let not your weapons be turned to those who would wish to fight for their loved ones at home. No, let both your wrath and God's come down on whoever wishes to blot God's name from this universe, not on the innocent or the merely ignorant.

Hmm, well i have been told that the bond of combat a feel with my wingmates is a gift from god and I am on the first rungs to my true calling.

Personally I do it bcause I was slighted and till I'm happy the slights been wiped clean i shall continue to completely dominate every minmatar militia wing of ships i see till they get the point. Which, by the looks of it is never, so I shall likely keep firing for a very long time. My fellow race are a stubborn bunch, i see where i get it from...

No.

And to Ms. d'Hanguest... it is sad to see you fall away from the Empire and become victim to the most insidious capsuleer disease - ego.

It is well known that Emperor Arrach Sarum gave this quote the same year the Ealur were discovered and saved. The Emperor was rightfully selected from the Council of Apostles. His legacy continues to bear fruits among the faithful, among those who yearn for Amarr to become was it once was: God’s realm. But you knew that already. Why should the masses be illuminated when it suffices to mention the name of Sarum to establish retroactive “legitimacy” of the usurpatory present.

Your assessment is wrong. My ego is just a swinging door bound to the rhythm of God's breath.

I serve because I am compelled to by my own sense of Duty. I need no more reason than this.

The Faithful serve in many ways. We at the Society are proud to support the 24th Imperial Crusade both spiritually in our prayers and tangibly through our industry which help provide the hulls and modules needed for the Crusade to fly.

Indeed, "Duty is its own reward".

It was us who brought civilization to this dark and perilous world, and it is us who uphold it, with compassion, strength and courage.

Compassion, strength, and courage. During my short time adjusting to the mechanical aspects of combat piloting, I have seen none of these qualities from the IC24 pilots while patroling the systems bordering our homeworlds. Instead I have seen the avarice and hollow bloodlust of the Godless, not surprising given the official warzone's inception as a contrivance of the faithless men of CONCORD.

I saw peoples of the Empire fighting one another, willing to kill and die for mere ISK.

I was accosted by IC24 pilots demanding CONCORD-sanctioned 'duels', with no regard to the fact that I was acting as God has tasked me, with the defense of the faithful against heathen aggressors.

How can one claim that these pilots act as champions of the Chosen, when they choose not the great work of Reclaiming, but the acquisition of meaningless 'points' as apportioned by this impious agency? No, this is not God's task for us.

The Chosen of God must act in accordance with the dictates of His Word, becoming His Agency in this worldly realm, through obedient and righteous action. That is how we call upon the compassion, strength, and courage that God grants us.

You have to start looking at ends, when you don't control the means. Mercenaries are quite useful troops - when I fought for the Caldari State, I did it as a Patriot and a Citizen. Now I fight for the Amarr Empire, I do so as a contractor and a mercenary.

As a Patriot, I always felt I was outnumbered by the opportunists and profiteers in the militia, but you go to war with the militia you have, not the militia you ideally would like - and if they're defending systems, then why would you care?

For the first time since I started the conversation, he looks me dead in the eye. In his gaze are steel jackhammers, quiet vengeance, a hundred thousand orbital bombs frozen in still life.
