Orca ehp's vary widely. As in 50k ehp-250k ehp. Catalysts output 650-725 dps with most setups (assume 650 unless perfectly skilled with implants). Taloses output 1500-1700 dps.

Catalysts if manpower is unlimited, Vexors if manpower is limited but not in short supply, Taloses if manpower is the limited factor and ISK is not an issue. Tornados if you just want to kill the thing in one volley and don't care about price.

Obviously, you need appropriate skills on the gank characters.

if you warp your moros to the gate and jump it into the .5 and then siege ontop of the orca you can kill it in 2 shots before CONCORD shows up as well.

That is very true, but not as many people have access to capitals. If you do have one though, you can just warp to the gate at zero, even if you bounce you'll be able to jump through before anyone can tackle you.
