last night i was playing away quite happily on the dying hours of my 14-day trial.

today, i signed up for six months and paid my $50.

now, if i try to login from the launcher, i get a blackscreen where I should have a Character Selection screen.

If I try to login directly from the client, it fails and I wind up back at the login screen.

Now, I have an active internet connection, the exact same connection I was using last night and, indeed, the exact same connection I'm using right now to write this here post (except i'm on a windows bootcamp partition just now, but i can access forums macside).

Literally, the only thing that's changed is: i gave CCP some money.

Any suggestions?

i'm on a 3G link just now, so downloading the game client (again) is something i'd like to avoid if possible (although if it comes to that, should I install EvE under Windows7?)

hardware:
i5 Macbook pro
Mavericks
lots of ram

edit: I do NOT believe this is an issue with the Crius update. I was playing Crius last night.

well, it's working again. no idea why

and yes, i'd cleared the cache data before posting here.
