Since I never have had any involvement with Industry or Manufacturing, reading the Dev Blog doesn't really tell me wether any of this is good.

Doesn't seem like there is much if anything for everyone though...

It's pretty shattering...
1. manufacturing - imagine you had limited slots per station so people had to find free place to manufacture. then crius.. no more slots. the more built on same station the more taxes you pay.

2. mining > no more perfect refining. instead loads of changes to the math.

3. massive buff to null sec refining over high\low.

4. now possible to instantly compress ores on highsec\lowsec\nullsec using small pos and compression module.

and many more goodies. read the dev blogs it's all there.

Bottom line this will effect everyone from the guy that gather the materials to build a ship to the duded which pops it.

Well, it's a change and it's too early to prove whether it's good or bad. Personally, I think it's good (for a start... since invention changes are being implemented later).

Whether you are engaged in industry or not, Crius will have impact on your game each time you decide to buy something on the market.

The launcher is accessing the downloads already. Seems to be a bit over 1GB in the patch.

Client is ready and only VIP mode stands between me and hmm, what exactly should I be excited about?

I bet my pi fuel parts will skyrocket price.

And all junk which used to reprocess will be sold now on the market instead which will yield more money.

Yep!

That's why it's called an Industry expansion, silly.

Industry always affects everyone!

I am waiting for the people to start selling locally,
instead of moving everything to tradehubs.

That won't remove tradehubs, but it will change the landscape.
Takes a few years to get there, though.

That ringing in your ears you're experiencing right now is the last gasping breathe of a dying inner ear as it got thoroughly PULVERISED by the point roaring over your head at supersonic speeds. - Tippia

Your not going to see large scale selling locally at hub prices. Hub prices are based on high turnover. Local markets are invariably shallow.

Local sales are so small scale it only attracts new industrialists and people that dabble in industry for a "hobby". These smallscale industrialists will be better off but that is about it.

What may happen is people will start making copies of their BPOs and producing out in the boondocks and then shipping freighter loads back to the hubs to sell. Even then its a lot of trouble.
