Summer 2012 Expansion - Name your top 5

1. Tech3 Frigates
2. Tech2/3 Battlecruisers (this ship class is still lacking - you still only have Command Ships for Tech2)
3. Missile Buff (Torpedo Range & Explosion Radius, Javelin HAM DPS, etc)
4. Lowsec improvements (make life harder for Pirates)
5. Some kind of addition to the sleeper story involving new game mechanics and travelling methods and new ships (above)

I would love to see Tech3 Battleships, but I just cannot see them being workable in practice. A hull that costs up to 2billion before you have even fitted subsystems is going to be such a ganking target it will be unreal. Yes, they will be the most powerful sub-cap ships in the game, but they will always be primary/secondary in any fight.

On the other hand, a Tech2 version of the Tier3 battleships/battlecruisers would be a great addition Big smile

  • Pick one existing mechanic (POS, FW, Cosmos, Mining, corp management, sov) and really clean it up/improve on it.
  • Make a number of small fixes/improvements (drone launch hotkey).
  • Make decisions in eve more meaningfull (FW sov, more lowsec between the empires).
  • Add some PvE content (maybe some new epic missions)

CCP should set up a small website that players have to log into and they can vote once per account for the feature they would like to see next. CCP still have some controls as they will be the ones that put up the list of available options, have a right to veto, and can work with the suggestion alongside other features that benefit the company. This seems the most fair and democratic way of making as many people as possible happy. I would very much doubt that large amounts of measures would need to be put in to prevent the manipulation of this system as very few people that play this game would like development to change negatively. Perhaps if you vote for a features that makes it out during window A, your vote is worth less in window B to allow the minority groups some features love, but to also allow the diversity of features across eve. This could be a page found on the account management area, or better still a very small interface in game.

CCP tells us all the time they recognise that we are just as equal stakeholders as players as they are in the game, this could allow the players more direct control that isn't currently felt through the CSM. Hell, find me somewhere to live and cover the flights, i'll head over to Iceland and set it up for you :P

1) Removal of Reprocessable Drone / Rat Drops, Replace them with materials for modifying low meta items into higher meta items. for example Guristas rats could drop datasheets / blueprints / materials used to make Guristas Faction versions of regular modules.

2) Complete and Total overhaul of the mining system, you've given us plenty of ships and bonuses to mine well, now we need a ming overhaul to make mining interesting and worthwhile again for the real players and harder for the bots.

Minerals should come from mining only. see 1) above

3) More ships.... T3 ships of all clases.

4) nerf moongoo to hell and back. remove the monopolys, make moogoo more widely availlable. increase value of other nullsec resources to compensate.

5) Wider range of stuff in the LP stores, get rid of the 1000's of useless implants, add more ships / blueprints / modules / usefull items.

4) Invention lottery reviewed. More possible determining factors.
5) Exploration focus with new toys and perhaps some specific intel "gadgets".

Lets make sure I have got this right...You want people to do lvl 4 missions in losec so that you can gank a pve ship in your pvp ship?

In terms of ship balance I would like to see the following

1. Overhaul/Adjust the tier 1 faction cruisers. Navy Exequror / Navy Osprey / Fleet Sycthe / Navy Augoror are the least flown faction ships in the game. they were introduced in Empyrean Age (in an environment where nano was op) and not changed or adjusted since, which they probably should have done since I believe they came out in a kind of pre-nerf state given how nano was OP back then. Then QR hit and they basically were never flown and are outclassed by a lot of ships.
2. Electronic Attack Frigates Buff. Every other t2 frigate has recieved a round of buffs which just puts these 'pre-nerfed' ships even further behind.
3. Make Tier 1 Cruisers, and some of the Frigates that are currently worthless or overpriced shuttles into something worth flying.
4. Boost the bad ships that are currently overshadowed by their peers. Most notable for being bad Eris - Sacrilege - Eos
5. Buffs for t2 battleships. Maruders - Buff the sensor strength up to regular BS strength or a bit higher. I still don't think you'll see them everywhere due to cost, and they mostly offer similar levels of gank/tank compared to other tech I battleships other than the better active tanks and cargo space. Black Ops. - Allow EAS to use BO jump Portal, Add the cloaked velocity bonus as a role bonus and give them all an extra DPS orientated Bonus to encourage them to not be cargo expanded pos huggers + Remove the **** agility bonus from the Sin.

Kinda sad that so many are asking for/settling for fixes, balancing, tweaking.


How long will you people be sedated with patches being called expansions?


Fixes, balancing, tweaking that should happen 4-12 times a year!! They call those patches.


More ships, modules, player owned structures, missions, and space. Major over hauls. Entirely new features . THESE ARE EXPANSIONS!!

I wanted to paint my space ship red, but I couldn't find enough goats.

1. A way to detect and uncloak cloaked ships in space.
2. Tech 3 frigates

4. Revamp Heretic/Eris/Flycatcher to be on par with Sabre
5. Possible droneland changes, but be careful with this or our bots will just move to highsec and bot the belts

1. Removal of Drone poop and Meta 0 mods

2. new ships where needed be that extra tiers or T3 as long as they don't make other ships redundant

3. Nerf isk faucets or at least increase the risk to higher isk incomes

4. Some kind of mining change that involves "looking" for the good asteroids amunst the crud based on their surface as a form of anti botting as explained in other posts (better asteroids have visual viens etc in them)

5. Some kind of nerf to forum whine that forces people into formulating well structured arguments rather than going "T2 BPOS ARE TEH BAD" "NULL SEC IS TEH EVIL" and "MAKE MY MINING SHIP MINE MORE FASTER SO I BECOME TEH RICH"

- Fix, no really, fix Hybrids and the platforms that use them (ie Gallente)
- Drone boats and drones need some love (ie, high slot damage modifier to drone damage)
- Fix the Bounty system for the love of god
- EASY ONE (I would think) some way to name/tag/notate your various jump clones so I can quickly see which is my snake, slave , mission, etc clone
- MORE communication out of CCP in the forums. A lot of feedback has been given on hybrids and ship balancing threads, but little to no feed back from the dev's.
