Oh, and put more blinky lights on it... and have it making chuffy 'nom, nom, nom' noises when the spinny things are grinding up rocks.

Agreed. And maybe a laser light printer to beam short messages over the belt. Like, "GO AWAY BAD SHIP SHOOTER!!!!!".

The only thing the barges need is an actual slot for the permit.

In actual fact the recent rebalance of the mining vessels is one of very few things CCP has done well in recent times. I do still feel that as the Procurer has a Battleship sized tank it should have a similar build cost/requirement and not be as cheap as it is.

The Procurer sells for substantially less than it costs to make.

The reason is people made tens of 1000s of the things back when they were like 3 mill each to produce and those stockpiles are still mainly intact.

Hmm. I hadn't thought of that aspect. Although selling something for less than it costs to make is like shooting yourself in the foot. Even if you can still make a profit it's just ******* up the market. Of course I realise it's CCPs fault for introducing the now removed 'extra materials' mechanic.
