So for fun I have been mining in low sec and null sec in the new prospect ship. I can make more money afk mining in high sec.

Data and relic sites in low sec and null sec -- . Time to isk.. I can make more money afk mining in high sec. or running risk free level 4s in high sec.

CCP you game is a lie. Why are you forcing people to do mundane risk free activities by not offering huge rewards for taking risks.

i will beat your 1 full day of mining in high sec in 20 minutes in wormholes. of course the risk is insane, and i put officer-fit ships on the line..

I remember a thread about how null is too easy to make isk from, some dodgy screenshots and flat-out lies about billions per hour.
Now here we have someone risking chump change and wondering why that isn't making the big big big money.

Would be very confus if i got my info from forum trolls and not from actually getting out there myself. Whines and wild claims get slapped down equally, yielding little insight.

how about you actually understand risk before you complain. Use a barge, that is risk. Go in deep NPC space with an exhumer. THAT is serious risk.

Yeah... I was getting 11 mil per anomaly in null with a battleship. I spent most of that time hiding from pirates who'd come looking for trouble and eventually got ganked. After the loss of the ship, I was behind. I make more money mining and mission running in High Sec.

Now, I'm not whining. I'm not complaining. That gang got me fair and square and they really worked some great strategy.

I'm merely pointing out a fact.

Eventually, with the right skills, you can make more money, but it requires higher skills than I've currently got. Null is not for newbies.

The prospect as an asteroid miner sucks...doesnt have the ore capacity hold to make it profitable.

Now look at the other bonus - Gas mining is where its at. I just spoonfed you.

To gankers and gas miners...Please dont target me for sharing this knowledge.

Wrong. Newbies can have plenty of fun in null.

It just helps to have friends.

Wha? Seriously, who mines ore in a Prospect?

Ninja gas sites in wormholes, it's decent money and lots of fun.

Nobody told you risk = reward.

Successfully overcoming risk will give you a chance at a significantly better reward.

I think your statement only applies to null explo.

If done with your corp, mining in null should be accompanied by friends who will undock and blap any WTs if they show up in system. Ratting with friends can also reduce the SP barrier for entry. You can also do ore/ice runs while completely untanked. If you get lucky, you can make some decent ISK.

And there's always fleet roams with salvaging/looting followups. No high SP requirement there, either.

There is no high SP requirement for PI or moon mining.

You can start being plenty useful as an industry player by making ammo. The whole industry chain is fairly SP lite.

O shut up troll.. fine take more appropriate ship out of the equation. I can make more isk per hour mining in a venture two jumps out from jita with little to no risk. Than I can using a venture in low sec mining with massive risk and a ton of logistical problems hauling my goods to a trade hub.

Just to beef that argument up.

low sec mining.
I need to replace lost ships ( it will happen at some point )
I need to stop mining and warp off to hide from other players... hell from low sec rats.
I need to safely move my wares to a trade hub out of low sec and many jumps without being ganked.

high sec mining.
A lot safer.
Logistics a lot safer and less time consuming .
No interruptions.

Your gonna need to explain what your doing wrong on how you make less isk/hr mining in those two areas. Are you mining mor valuable ores? is your fit the same? are you trying to use the same methods and procedures?

I will tell you right now I make more isk from mining in null, including the crazy logistics (oabout 2-3 capital jumps away from nearest lowsec) using skiffs, than i ever did mining in hulks/covetors in highsec. I've replaced exhumers, funded my pvp (including expanding my capital collection), and still managed to stuff a little extra in the bank

Its not an exponential increase as you go out farther into deep space so dont expect to be making 5-10 times more just by doing the same thing in a lower-sec system.

If you value all of the safeties and convenience of highsec over a bigger profit margin and more work, than the problem isnt the system itself, but the expectations you've put on it.

I think the less security lvl system has the easier some sites should be so players can do them in pvp fits, that would be cool, earn ISK and don't be afraid to fight, of course left some sites with huuuge difficulty level for hardcore gamers

It is not about high-sec nerf, it is about null-sec buff.

In many aspects the gain in null space is reasonably higher. Missioneering in high can make you up to 40m/h, while doing the same in null is about 100m/h, which seems reasonable to me. Also mining and scanning could - theoretically - earn you a lot more than you could in high-sec, but often other things prevent you from doing it.

The main problem to me seems that null isn't safe, no matter what you do. No matter the precautions, defenses or whatever else you come up with, it seems that you still buy that one red cloaky with the monthly rent. As you cannot tell where (or if) he will strike, you can't just go out and mine/kill/scan as you would in high. So you either need to spent much time waiting for the red to log off, take additional defense ships or subtract the loss of a ship from your income. In all cases this lowers your isk/day, and even if you can make a lot more isk/h when the red is gone for a while, high-sec still has much less trouble with probably the same isk gain over a day.

Now if you happen to be lucky and you play only one or two hours at those times where the local is clear, you can make huge amounts of money. If you happen to be not so lucky and can only play at prime times, you spent much time not earning a single ISK, which can be a very frustrating experience.

this kinds of threads are a joke...

who cares how much money you make... what's possibly can you purchase that will change your gaming experience? you'll do exactly same activity after that.
