Multiple GPUs driving multiple monitors - Does it work for anyone?

I have tried every combination I can think of, but no luck. :( I am trying to drive three displays, all 1920x1080 resolution. I have two high-end NVIDIA gpus in my system.

If I use a single gpu to drive all three displays, things mostly work. I use fixed window and interval one for all three clients, one per display. If I try to use GPU #2 for one of the displays and set a client to use that display, the framerate gets artificially limited to half of the actual monitor refresh rate. I am running my LCDs at 60Hz and I can consistently get FPS limited to 30 Hz.

I have confirmed it is not a GPU bottleneck since setting to interval immediate allows me to render each client at 300 or more fps. (I am just docked at station for this experiment)

Just as an experiment, I borrowed a forth monitor and connected it to the second gpu as well and the behavior gets even worse. We get all clients getting locked to 15 FPS or so max if I run 2 on GPU 0 and 2 on GPU 1. Running all 4 on the same gpu allows me to get almost 60fps on each.

Anyone have any solutions for this problem or suggestions I could try? It seems a shame that I have a perfectly good high end gpu i cannot use at all to play my favorite game (EvE of course :) ).
