Hey experts

I'm considering trying my hand at a kronos (only marauder I can fly, presently), primarily for running anoms, but maybe also for sigs if that's possible.

However, given that I have no experience with marauders and that they're a little bit expensive, I'd like to know the opinions of you guys.
Is it viable? Is it practical?
Can I expect to be able to tank the sites?

Also, of course, feel free to suggest fits. For now I'm only interested in T2 fits.

The Kronos will easily tank the sites, but it isn't great for drones since it can only deal Kin/Therm damage. I would suggest a Machariel or Typhoon Fleet Issue for their resist profiles and EMP ammo.

The Paladin is way better for Rogue Drones. It has a better resistance profile and the optimum damage type.

CCP should add more NPC 0.0 space to open it up and liven things up: the Stepping Stones project.

I agree, Also the Vargur fits right there with the Mach.

Kronos tanks it easily, but you need EM type damage output. Navy Domi would be much better with Amarr drones (sentries or heavies), and although it has a large basic tank already defense would still be problamatic without kiting

That's a Templar, an Amarr fighter used by carriers.

Pretty much this. an 18mil sp carrier pilot flying a bones thanny, fitted for pure dps + fighters.. so you basically pay hull cost of thanny + ft cost.. so you're looking at maybe 1.6b? depending where/when you buy.

Easily make ticks between 35-55mil/hr depending on your ability to micromanage spawns/triggers and warp times to next site.

If you bought a bones carrier pilot on the bazaar for 10bil, you could easily recoup that cost + initial startup costs in less than a month.

87~ hrs of pve from the month would recoup your initial expenditure. Anything after that would be funtime/project/investment money.

I don't really feel like managing more than this account and I certainly don't have isk to buy a char.
So, in terms of training time, the paladin is probably the best choice, since I can fly it with good skills in the time it takes to get to Amarr BS from 4 to 5.
A carrier will take me 80 or so days just to sit in. With that said, I'm sure you're right that it's the best option.
I'll wait that month and get the paladin instead of the kronos.
