Whats the community think? Hybrids / Lasers

Damage types are different ranges and base damage modifiers... Flatten those stats too?

Is that my two cents or yours?

Well, different weapon systems are different, first of all.

That said, I do think lasers need some love, being pigeonholed into EM primary for every kind of decent ammo is just not ok. They need more options for heavy thermal damage.

But they certainly do not need explosive and kinetic.

As for hybrids, they are in a good place right now, and I wouldn't mess with them any.

Missiles need work, and projectiles need buffed slightly thanks to the fact that many ships that use them got nerfed in the last few ship rebalances.

Example of 2 damage types all weapons....


Missiles - Kinetic / Explosive -since they hit with force and explode.... make sense.

Drones - Gallente weapon for the most part ... caldari are enemy thus is would make sense to use EM/ Therm but that steps on the toes of amarr, so EM / Exp for exploding magnetic rounds?

Projectiles - Enemy is amarr, would make sense their damage does Therm, and secondary damage maybe Explosive.

Hybrids - Are fine Kin /Therm

Lasers - Extreme heat using light waves / photons. Thermal / EM


This way no two weapon types do the same damage. Please remeber its just an example.



I used to think you understood the game But clearly not.

The RACE resistances are based on the primary damage of the enemy race, NOT the other way around. That is why amarr have + explosive for example.

Also Projectiles do not really do Kinetic as a full damage option . Also All damage types are 1/4 kinetic.

Also STOP TRYIGN TO MAKE EVERYTHIGN THE SAME DAMMIT
