Never been a Goon, but I've flown with a few Goons in my time, and find them generally to be among the least homophobic people I've encountered in online gaming.

Which isn't to say they are perfect, but by god they are nowhere near as bad as the highsec miner that recently EVEmailed me to say they want to see me molested in prison by 'a pack of (vile racial slur)s'.
