I don't really mind that they're reusing collectibles but how hard would it have been to make a new unique shuttle or implant or something?

This is from the Apotheosis description:

I to have stored some cerebrals and apotheosis witch became less valuable now

But i support CCP with this,

the apotheosis was worthless and wildly available anyways and the cerebrals are real useful for new players/toons, it was obvious that that item might reappear after a certain time, and i tell you know, that it will reappear an other time (maybe as bpo/bpc)

Back then you could decide to take its nice effects or have 250mill on hand.

As trader you could make a buck ripping them off off new players

As scammer you could wast your bots time.

And as collector you just have to have some, just in case they don't reappear. Its a collateral risk.

Now they got redistributed, A lot of trading going on. many lowlifes start farming them, increasing the the active accounts numbers CCP likes to swing around. etc etc the lower price make them more viable for many different things Pirate

Every item in eve is related to market speculations, one way or the other.

One day my red dress will be worthless, probably, maybe, but i don't care, i know of that risk and its about the time till then.

If you know they are only seeded once, everyone would buy a few, the supply would be covered and no hope of big value increase. You as collector would be allot more pissed.

They distributed Apotheosis as a Power of 2 promotion, despite the fact that the item's description states that it has nothing to do with the promotion, but to commemorate EVE's bday.

Redistributing old items for events that have nothing to do with the nature of the items is CCP having a complete disregard for the Lores and History of EVE.

Market speculation is one thing, but making an entire new supply of Apotheosis is not merely exposing players to market speculation. It's creating a market repercussion that has immeasurable impact to Eve's Lore and a spit on the face to fellow collectors and history-nuts.

Since you use ****** ships to do some pvping, with corps providing all the resources you need, you won't care much about how much effort it takes to accumulate ISK and re-invest it on other ventures, but just imagine, putting yourself in our shoes.

Despite how much you hate carebears and such, thousands of pilots spend countless hours to get better ships or vanity items or other random stuff that suit their interests. You are telling me that it's completely OK that CCP decides to hand out huge regions to a no-name corporations with infinite resources because they are the corps that purchased most PLEXs?

Everyone has different values and such. You can't just disregard others' interest. Time invested = money.

Yah exactly, it's ok to distribute the apotheosis and the other useless crap like echelon and zephyr . I can only laugh at how you are upset about the apotheosis description, would editing it be a tissue for your spat upon face. What apotheosis eve lore ? the game turned 5 , everyone got a free shuttle, big deal.

Only the cerebral accelerator is a miner concern, the accelerator was obvious and ok, but other boxed gifts include the interbus shuttle witch would be sad to see given away to anyone but even that would not throw eve in to disaster like you pointed out.

You have a valid point. Apotheosis' market value is only 8M or so. It's a pitiful amount that we can earn in less than 10 minutes of farming in the mission. What I am concerned about is CCP using this as a turning point of churning out all the other "historical/collectible" ships & items in EVE. I've seen many companies including SWG and Star Trek Online, making concession of handing out one small item after another (which they implicitly let the consumers know that these were "limited edition") for one promotion after another, then eventually handing out all the "collectible and limited" items for subsequent promotions several months later.

Surely, you don't want EVE to turn out like that? Do you think I am really concerned about Apotheosis' value depreciating? I am just worried that CCP will start churning out other collectible ships as part of the promotional events in the future.
