Hi

So I'm testing two waters at the moment, exploring and now planned Solo Hunting in low sec of those who don't truly expect it (Like explorers). Yes I do understand that not all explorers are weak and the idea came first hand after me being destroyed on my maiden low sec voyage :)

Stealth or speed are what appeals to me, my rockets and torpedo skills have been neglected a bit and just sit on IV so no specialization there. I've never flown a bomber or interceptor (I've been a battleship kinda guy for a long time).

What would you guys recommend ?

EDIT: I've noticed a "Stealth Bomber for WH hunting" thread, seems to be on track for if stealth bombers are reccomended (Except I'd be manticore not purifier) so I'll just post in that thread bomber related.

Hi.

You should look at Johnny Pews aka. Sir Livingstons Videos on youtube linked below

He basically does what you are aiming for and gives good tips and fitting examples.

Reading by what you want I think the best thing to aim for is the following :

Probe Relic/Hacking sites.

Warp to them in a rocket fit stealth bomber with web & scram and cloak up.

Wait for people to start running the site and kill them at the last hacking container.

Loot their stuff. You got PVP and the Loot.

Hope I could help you out a little

As mentioned - here are the videos :

I have used a bomber fit with neutron blasters to good effect on explorers but what I've found is that scanning the sites down faster than explorers is more important than the lock delay bonus on the bombers. I got more kills with a rocket fit buzzard and a helios with its single bonused drone than I ever did with the bomber.

The reason is that explorers and constantly moving and you have to move with them. If you land in a system and see probes on scan you need better scan speeds than they have which a bomber just can't pull off.

Just my opinion though

I thought the trick is cherry picking a few systems, bookmark all data / relic sites and then roam those systems in your now non-probes bomber / whatever other ship and check if the peeps are in your bookmarks via d-scan?

Guess i'd do it the totally wrong way.

That is the way of it, yes but the sites recycle, pop and respawn. You may also get bored in your or decide to follow someone. If you hang out in a specific constellation to pvp then you should have all of those sites marked amd be able to run for your bomber... I have done it both ways and being able to scan on the fly gets more dead explorers in my experience.

The sebo gnosis locks fast enough but the warp-in point on many of those sites can be more than 60km away from the cans
