Will this skill apply to the capacitor activation cost of a strip miner?

I know it's probably a dumb question, but I honestly don't know the answer.

'Energy Emission Systems' means modules that affect the capacitor of other ships.

So no, you will get no benefit for Strip Miners from this skill.

Capacitor Management > Skill at regulating your ship's overall energy capacity. 5% bonus to capacitor capacity per skill level.
Capacitor Systems Operation > Skill at operating your ship's capacitor, including the use of capacitor boosters and other basic energy modules. 5% reduction in capacitor recharge time per skill level.

This 2 skills will directly affect your cap size\recharge.

Note that many modules exist which affects the cap size\recharge.

Another side affect is if u get "mining boosts" from an orca pilot and such you Strip miner cycle faster and take more cap in shorter time.

ALSO since kronos the mining barrage skill and Exhumer skill will make the strip miner cycle faster as well.

When mining yield bonuses were replaced with cycle reduction bonuses, I warned everyone about increased capacitor usage, and the community by-and-large disagreed and claimed increased capacitor usage was insignificant.

Now I'm seeing more and more posts about mining and capacitor issues, when for years there were none.

Other than the two basic capacitor skills, if you are getting gang bonuses for cycle reduction, the capacitor reduction link is even more important now; an Orca pilot now should be running all 3 mining links, not just the traditional two for yield and range. This means no tractor beam (have to use a MTU).

Wow.

Never knew they changed that from Yield to cycle time.

Still have the "Good Old" setup on my OrcaP

Thanks for all the replies and useful advice. I fixed the problem by cycling my strip miners one at a time rather than both at once.
