the standard free voice recognition software that comes with windows works with eve also.

And yet I know of people who use the macro keys on their keyboard and mice to, for example, turn on all of their tanking modules at once. If i was planning to use this, I'd probably solicit a formal response from CCP before I did so, just to be safe.

De'Veldrin's Corollary (to Malcanis' Law): Any idea that seeks to limit the ability of a large nullsec bloc to do something in the name of allowing more small groups into sov null will inevitably make it that much harder for small groups to enter sov null.

If you want an official response put it in via the petition system, it will get looked into by the powers that be and they shall respond(depending on backlog)

That will give you a their views on it.

Considering "their views" allow people to cheat with ISBoxer, I don't really hold much in their opinion when it comes to this sort of thing.

Yeah No this isn't allowed,
otoh if people are silly enough to believe that it saves them time,
they should be allowed to use it to their disadvantage.

Officially, running any third party software that assists in playing/running EvE is not allowed according to the EULA/TOS. However, as stated many times before by CCP, there are many instances in which CCP chooses not to enforce those rules. What they allow and when they allow it are very much depending on the circumstances.
That said, I would advice you to send a support ticket, describing clearly and politely what the program does and what the effect is.

In the mean time I will close this thread as it is not going to give definitive answers but will lead to a third party software > EULA/TOS discussion that for the most part will not be very constructive.
