Unfortunately I never remember my dreams, except the audiovisual hallucinations associated with sleep paralysis. Man, I'd give half of my savings to remember the good stuff too! Sad

When I got my first Chimera, I used to have stress dreams that my overview dial was all in red, and the Chimera was in structure about to explode. I hated that carrier!

It's a pleasant, sunny afternoon. Friends and I have been to the beach. Now, the day is over. They've gone off to get a last icecream. I'm standing by the car, an old VW beetle, in the carpark, when suddenly …
… I see an Omen, maybe a kilometer or two away, above the trees. It's huge. And falling. Looks as if the pilot is trying desperately to stabilize, but it's not working. The atmosphere is doing horrible things to the hull. I'm terrified. Cower down behind the car, knowing that it won't really help.
In a moment, the ship has fallen below my line of sight. There is an enormous explosion, and then a sudden rush of intensely hot air. Hotter and hotter. I think: I'm going to die. My clothes are smoldering, skin burning … I can't … I can't feel my left arm … !

I wake up to discover I'm lying on my left arm and it has gone numb. This was maybe a week ago. Damn Amarrians. A good, solid Minmatar ship … would have dissolved into little bits long before even getting close to the ground.

Dreams don't really make sense. I had an EVE/Little Mermaid combo on Sunday night. I'd crashed my ship.. i remember it was yellow so maybe my Venture.. and it was a water landing and I wasn't in a pod, I was in a seat (looked like leather) in front of a bunch of controls. And then I had to escape from the bottom of the ship into water.

When I hit the water I started sinking, saw bubbles going up.. and when I ran out of breath I felt water pass through these slits under my arms. And I had a fish tail, like Ariel. And I had an iPad thing where I was checking my wallet and science jobs. And after that was hours of clicking things on the iPad looking thing on a bunch of EVE interfaces but it was all pretty random and frustrating.

I had a dream about EVE Online once, strange that I still remember it.
Anyway, I was flying a Thorax to a water planet, and I proceeded to dive into the ocean with it to help my Corp. none of which I knew or had met, or even remember joining in the first place.
Anyway, we had to attack this giant sea monster to get its' biomass to produce some crap or other.
I don't remember what happened after I started attacking it, only that it ate me and I tried to attack it from the inside.

Strange dream to have =P

I miss having ISK.

I'm usually in a big, slow ship like a freighter or carrier, trying to get away from someone chasing me. I always seem to have a hard time picking a celestial to warp to, or I get scrammed right before entering warp.

Last game dream I had was a weird amalgamation of EVE, Minecraft, Civ 4 and Empire: Total War. Words cannot describe it, but it was kinda cool and awesome.

Dream Well

Only 1 eve dream in 11 years, it was a nightmare!
I remember it quite clearly was about 5-6 years ago, i lost a thorax somehow, not sure if pve pr pvp but dreams being what they are for some reason it was the most fearful loss ever, woke up sweating thinking OMG i lost the thorax! Silly even then as was very low value, not sure why my brain decided it was such a huge loss!

When I do dream of Eve it's usually a glorious vision of burning the atmosphere of a planet with a fleet of battleships.

CCP we can haz?

De'Veldrin's Corollary (to Malcanis' Law): Any idea that seeks to limit the ability of a large nullsec bloc to do something in the name of allowing more small groups into sov null will inevitably make it that much harder for small groups to enter sov null.

I remember (well, kind of) one in particular.

I'm flying around in empty low sec, minding my own business. Suddenly, a report comes in about some ship, not sure what was so special about it, but everyone and their mother was looking for it. Then, an old friend (who actually doesn't play Eve) chimes in on a private chat that he knows where to look. So, we meet up and fleet up and head out. Problem is, it's (the secret ship) location is in an area of null that has gone up-side-down, a literal shooting gallery where several rival alliances have turned the area into a brutal war zone. Hot-drops, blobs, Titans and supers being slaughtered on a nearly daily basis. The place is sheer chaos even by Eve standards.

Anyways, along the way there, we come under attack by half of Eve, while the other half jealously searches for the very this special ship. Weaving in and out of engagement after engagement, somehow narrowly escaping each time by the skin of chins, my friend and I begin to slowly lose hope that we will find this damned thing. Soon, every time we think we've found it, we run into another hostile fleet. We start cursing this ship, and begin to suspect it has eluded us and all of Eve, like a devilish temptress who lures her victims only to destroy them from the inside out.

Suddenly, we notice something rather ominous; we are being followed, and not by just anyone. We've seen these guys before. While everyone else is set on finding this mysterious ship, this particular group is hunting those who seek to find this ship. We've learned first hand that they are predatorial, though very patient and efficient. Rather than jump into the fray, they stalk their victims first, studying its every move, patiently waiting for that perfect shot...like a sniper or a masterminded killer. We have to survive somehow, so we come up with a plan, one that's simple yet unexpected. We wait for them to make their move, then we split up. Again, it's simple, but it's not something they've seen us do and somehow it works.

Having thrown off their scent, we rejoin in an empty system and decide enough is enough and that it's time to give up this fruitless journey. We've learned a lot from the adventure, but we are spent. Frustrated and mentally exhausted from this episode, we set up a waypoint to lead us back into safer space. Suddenly, after all of the desperate searching, after all of narrow misses, all of the close calls and all of the systems that have turned up nothing...

...something shows up on d-scan. Quickly, I deploy my last few remaining combat probes and start narrowing the location of the unknown contact. Then, just before I wake up, I smile and say into my mic, "Gotcha..."

Not sure what the ship was suppose to be or why everyone madly wanted to find it, that's how dreams work I guess. Still, it was a fun dream. Happy hunting...

"Tomahawks?"

"----in' A, right?"

"Trouble is, those things cost like a million and a half each."

"----, you pay me half that and I'll hump in some c4 and blow the ---- out of it my own damn self."

I dreamed I was a majestic Thorax flying through the vastness of space. Weightless as I roamed through the heavens, my blue and green paint job gleaming in the light of the Gallente region nebula. After what seemed like an eternity, I came across another ship in the void... a shabby looking mining barge.

I had been alone for so long, I felt an instant attraction to this companion soul I had finally found.

With much haste and excitement I rushed to its side, and as soon as I touched it.. it recoiled. "Come back!" I yelled into the vacuum as I approached it again. Once again it recoiled as I touched it, moving a little further away this time. "Please!" I begged, "Please come back.. you complete me!". I activated my Microwarp and chased after the piece of my soul that was sailing away from me. Again, away it flew as I touched it.

My heart sank. Why.. why do you do this to me! I just want to be friends!

Once again I sang my heart out into the darkness. "I just want to be with you...". All I ever received back was silence.

One last time I chased my soulmate down, overloading my engines in order to be closer to it, to be with it, to touch them once more. As our hulls touched, sparks flew, and away my love flew.. far away this time.

Rejection started to get to me. Was I destined to be all alone in this universe? I watched from afar this time as they slowly came to a halt. We were over 80km from our original rendezvous now, the belt seemed far behind us. I watched the screen.. waiting for a reply, anything.. a blinking light.. something. Nothing..

My scanner flared to life.. could it be? Yes! two more ships were in the vicinity! Joyous day! With a dull thud, the two emerged from warp, five kilometers from my friend. Giddy with excitement I spoke a salutations into the com terminal.

The reply came swiftly. "Thank you my friend for your work." the gruff voice announced.

"My work?" I questioned.

"Yes, it appears that this miner has no permit. We also monitored your communications and noticed it to be a one sided conversation. We suspect the pilot is away from the cockpit at the moment, possibly asleep, possibly watching a holoreel, either way they are not where they should be. You also bumped them far from the belt, and they did nothing to attempt to return. So you see, you have done us a great favor, and you shall be rewarded."

I watched in horror as the two ships opened fire on my companion, stripping away its shields and armor with ease. Open wounds in the hull poured flame as the atmosphere contained within was sucked out. Moments later the bright flash of its reactors going critical filled my vision. When my vision returned, my companions ship was reduced to a smoldering wreck. Tucked down inside, barely visible from my window was the faint green glint of a pod. My companion had survived!

I called out to him.. hoping.. a response is all I wanted.. let me know you are alive!!! Nothing. How could all of this happened without my friend noticing? Could they be so absent that even the ship exploding around them failed to wake them or even get their attention?

A second later, some blaster fire penetrated the wreckage and found its mark, and the pod was destroyed. My friend was truly gone now.

I watched as the two other ships warped away. What should I do now? I searched the wreckage of my friend and found many viable modules within, unfortunately, none of them were a defensive module. Had my friend failed to fit his ship with any amount of tank? Had he cared only about the amount he could mine instead of the welfare of his vessel? Sadly I scooped all of the useful bits my friend had left behind, and my salvage drones picked the hull wreckage clean. My last act before I warped off was to collect the floating corpse of my friend. At least now... I wouldn't be alone anymore.

Later on, I remember my wallet blinking. Those two men who had killed my friend had transferred me some money. 10 million ISK. I got 10 million ISK for watching my friend die.

I then looked in my cargo at the corpse of my friend.. Well, I better not let this go to waste. I punched in a command to a servant drone to bring the corpse to my quarters. I hope I had some clothes that would fit her.. because the tea party we were about to have would be awkward if she was naked.

..and then I was woken up by the FC yelling "BUBBLE THE GATE!!!!!". We caught a shuttle.. the best kill of the evening.

Since the cessation of their usefulness is imminent, may I appropriate your belongings?
