Ok

As it my first time here in MD forums Hey guys..

Ok i left eve for approx 6 months, But before i decided to leave sell assets and chars i put all my isk on to an old alt
with this isk i brought 29 plex for i think 533mill isk :) last night i decided to start a new char and get my old alt back on to get a hold of my plexes.

ok so im in jita with plexes in my hanger check markets, WTF wohooo plex price has gone nuts awesome.
so now i find my self with
this char who is currently doing market trading skills :/
and more isk that i think i have ever seen in one place.

Ok so now what i am not interested in the game side of eve ie pve pvp, i only plan on making more isky's.

i decided to come and have a look for good secure loans maybe make some isk passive but after reading alot about
how things turn out with these i see i just cant trust without collateral.

So i guess my question is collateral loans always taken up super quick by players who hang around here all day.

Or is there something im missing on who to pick to offer loans ?
what i mean is is there some sort of credit history i can look for by players asking for loans or some corp who offer like a back ground to these players.

Currently my main plan is to buy items that will make me isk in the future i mean i currently have alot of isk in a item currently not worth loads but i see with patch day on its way i think i could make some isk this way i mean worked once right.

granted i could be wrong but after checking out test server and i see what changes are on there way i think i have a good head start.

And on a little side note who ever is pushing up plexes i love you <3....

Check my link in my signature if you are interested loaning either collateralized and uncollateralized. If you don't have the trust in me just try out 80% collateralied for 2 weeks, you won't regret it.

Just stick to full collateral, there have been numerous scam attempts over the last couple of months.

I would not touch anything from an unknown without full collateral. Also watch out for any threads purporting to show history of paid back loans without collateral there are a lot of fakes filled instantly by alts to rep grind.

And as for the offer of 80%, normally you would accept collateral more in your favour so 120% of the value of the loan so you can shift the XXXXX much more quickly without getting stuck with it.

Sorry as an additional note, If you're using a recognized 3rd party there should be no problems with a legitimate borrower offering a higher percentage of collateral as they would only lose it on a default

Collateralized loans are your best bet. It seems like every few weeks MD experiences a flourish of uncollateralized loan requests and I always have a suspicion it's one pilot on a bunch of alts trying to scam. Don't lend more isk than you can lose; but don't plan on losing the isk, plan on the loan completing. There is a wonderful thread about investing here, and if you read posting history of Elizabeth Norn,Hexxx, RAW23, and Vaerah Vahrokha, you will learn a great deal.

Not to be an advertisement whore, but I have been operating a successful private bank since the beginning of this year. Investment Shares have all been sold and I have transitioned into selling 100mil isk bonds. I have, I think 52 bonds (5.2bil isk) left for purchase. You are more than welcome to read about my bank's history through the link in my bio. That thread will give you the complete breakdown of how things have changed over the last 7 months, and the TAUTX website (linked therein) will give you an up-to-date overview of current policies.

I think two of the main points to consider before using your isk to invest in lending is: Can you make more isk with your isk than the person is promising to return to you? Do you want to work your isk or have others work it for you, regardless of the promised returns?

Ugh eve = banks always put me in a weary state.

not saying your bank/bond is but banks and eve imho have not gone together very well in the past, But i will keep an eye on it none the less.

as for making more isk from my amount isnt a real problem as my NAV should come in to effect just after patch day. (if all goes well).

But thanks for reply's guys much appreciated.

I'm probably just going to repeat what others said, sorry in advance.

Stick with collateralized loans for now, read the forums, maybe try your hand at trading. Remember that a partially collateralized loan is basically a collateralized plus an uncollateralized loan. If you want to invest in uncollateralized loans then make sure you do some research, as you would with items you want to trade, collateral you accept, or a corp you want to join. Check their posting, corp and evelocal, com history, ask yourself if what they're asking for is a lot greater than what they have to lose, but keep in mind that not everything is public, some people are sneaky and some don't care for their character or just want to watch the world burn. If something looks too good to be true, or suspicious, then it probably is.

Like Koniferous said, read the posting history of those people, but don't take my word as gospel because I don't do anything special and just like to point fingers. Try to follow your own instinct rather than base it on what other people say, check the evidence, or lack of, and make your own decisions.

Ok

few days in to this i have started making small amounts via markets
i have my fingers and toes in a few pies.

But i see scams in jita have not slowed down in fact more rampant now than when i first left, i did fall for one yesterday it did
cost me but nothing really lost.

but i have a new question ?.

last time i played the markets i only had 10 buy orders and same again in sell orders ok simple
but now i have 40-50 atm and i am really finding it difficult to stay on top of them.

how do you guys who i imagine have 100+ buy and sell orders stay on top of them or do you just leave them to fill without all the 0.01 isk game i really dont want to get in to this type of market pvp but seems my items are pushed way off the scale before i even get to click them for a 2nd time :/.

if you're referring to monitoring them, then you can set your orders to be marked blue and place all the items into the quick bar. so you only need to click through the products you have orders on.

Not exactly
i wos referring to the amount of orders to watch over, Now currently i am trying to keep tabs on 45 buy orders and 37 sell orders
already i have managed to see a price crash and lose isk on a item but i know its swings and round abouts.
