Hi

Note this is not a "Tell me what to do", it is a "Is it worth doing" thread, since it involves ships in all fashions primarily its why I've put it here and not general discussion,

I have been away for a while and fly a Raven Navy Issue, I have always been caldari from kestrel, caracal, drake, raven, raven navy issue (Yes all my skills are exclusive in everything involving those too). I dont really want to go further along the missile boat train as going golem would take me another 26 days and I dont really see the point unless I am going after salvage.

I have had a few thoughts in directions to go into but don't want to enter those areas if they are basically dead to profit and/or fun.

1) Transporting, I've seen various options from blockade runner to huge transportation ships, I dont know if any corps use people like that, if so flying something massive or zipping quickly from one area to another sounds pretty cool. I dont know if there is any money in this though (Lets face it you need money for everything).

2) Something involving low risk null sec (Yes I'm one of those people who have never been in that area due to fear of ship loss).

3) Learning a different ship race type such as amarr, I'm not sure if this is worth it or not.

Those are my ideas in order of fun, I dont know whats practical or not but in a few days I'll be done training everything I need for my battleship (I had neglected T2 rigs and Cybernetics). Note my skills all lie around the above ships no-where else.

i recently dipped a few body parts into faction warfare mission running. it's not as easy going as hisec lvl4s, but it's also not as boring. also, your missile skills will serve you well in a stealth bomber.

I should buy an Ishtar.

it's the proverbial glass cannon. except it's more like a catapult.

I should buy an Ishtar.

I was thinking about posting the exact same thread. It's literally been a year since I played, and I just re-activated both accounts yesterday.

I was thinking about getting into exploring, and/or pirating when that gets boring. I've pirated in highsec for quite some time, hunting mission runners and stealing anything over 3mil, but nothing makes me feel better than when you tackle a heron at a site in low/null and the tears roll.

For me, it's either exploration, or industry, not sure yet, but piracy will still be included somehow.

That's what I was going to recommend.

You mentioned you've never been out to null. Exploration is a good way to get used to navigating null without having to manage your combat situation and local/d-scan. Good isk too.

Once you get used to navigating safely in a cov ops ship its not much harder to get around safely in a cruiser. Learn the MWD/cloak trick to get past gate camps(use map to avoid them in the first place) and you'll be fine. I have yet to be caught in low/null when I didn't want to be caught minus one occasion....his crucifier didn't last long though :)

I'd recommend an Hawk.
