Is E-War any good?

E-war is a wonderful thing to have. But most of it is situational, Something I haven't seen mentioned yet is how different types of E-war can 'stack up' so to speak.

Such as: ECM can a jam a target and Scan Res Damps can be there to slow a ships lock on time when the jam fails.

Also asides from ECM, Damps (IE Cal Navy Hookbill), Tracking Disruptors, Target painters (Any Missile Ship) and Neuts (A Megathron with this will work wonders Also any ship with a utility high), can work wonderfully on ships that don't get bonuses to them. ECM is the only exception however.

Also it was common, dunno if it is now, is to have your fleet sacrifice a mid-slot for a E-war mod, like every ship in a fleet will have a damp, or a tracking disruptor. Again ECM is the only exception to this.

ECM should only be used on ships that get bonuses for it, otherwise it's rather ineffective.

Also as a tip to a new player, always try to fit a point (Warp Disruptor) on your ship if you can, EVERY ship in a PvP fleet should have this unless the FC says otherwise.

Other forms of E-war can also translate to Remote Sebo's and Remote Tracking enhancers.. I fit up a the T1 variant of the Celestis (Can't remember the name of it XD) And I will boost my corps mates Scan Res, so they can lock pods and frigs easier with Alphing ships for insta-pop goodness.

The t1 variant of the celestis is a celestis. Sadly all your very basic advice lost credibility once you provided evidence that you don't really know what your are talking about.

Let's see if I can add to your great advice... webs make the opponent go slower. Warp scramblers turn off an opponents mwd.

That's all I can think of for now. I'm going to hop into my t2 variant of the enyo and go do some leet solo pvp.

OP - I will advise you to figure out what ship you want to fly. Don't try to force yourself into something that doesn't suit you. An example: The risk averse kiting frig pilot (dramiel pilot is an example) shouldn't be shoe horned into a blaster enyo. He just won't like it. Same goes the other way - the short range brawler pilot will continually lose kiting ships because he'd rather spend his brain power on killing things than setting range/transversal/formulating an exit strategy and all the other kitey stuff.

Figure out how you like to play and do that. Don't try to fit yourself into some mold cast by another.

Solid advice, fly what you like and you'll become a good pilot.

(brawlers worry as much if not more about range/transversal/exiting tho)

EDIT: OP, Maulus can be more useful than a Griffin for small gangs, and teaches you more about flying. You'll also be hated (marginally) less when flying damps instead of jams :D
