If true, the petition system is as far as you should have gone.

Calling them out like this on the forums is a violation of numerous forum rules and the EULA itself. (spreading knowledge of an exploit can actually be considered a bannable offense, for instance)

LOL, I find that hilarious.

Spreading my experience in dealing with exploiters is bannable? in what universe do you live?

I would guess the universe CCP put their EULA and forum rules in... I remember last time someone posted an exploit on the forums... Suddently a huge number of people suddenlty had the slightly modified ship scanner that would tell which celestial object everything on scan was closest to and how far away from it they were... The week that went before it was fixed by CCP led to some people getting extreme amounts of kills in a very shot time as all they had to do was enter the system to know where every single undocked ship was. And that is why you report the exploit in silence instead of ruining faction warfare for a few weeks...

Congratulations. Both the Imicus and the Tristan have the bandwidth to use medium drones and drone bay to hold them. You died to someone just using medium drones.

Wow you fail hard at reading comprehension. Please don't respond to forum posts when you literally have no idea what the post is about.

Okay,

While we appreciate that you may have come across a way to artificially inflate drone damage numbers to excessive amounts this is entirely the incorrect way to go about it.

Distributing mechanics and know how of how to recreate this bug is the worst thing possible that could be done in a situation like this.

  • It adds a massive workload to an already important problem that needs to be fixed quickly.
  • It lets others abuse this bug, constantly compounding the problem at hand.
  • It is highly frowned upon as you are explicitly going against rules you have agreed to.

All in all while you may feel that it get something done, all that occurs is a whole lot of work for many people on CCP's side.

Please, in future be sure to create a petition, with all the information surrounding the situation from Killmails, screenshots and if you are able to recreate the bug, a detailed explaination of how.

These will expedite the process for the team without creating a truckload of more work for people.

This thread will be permanently locked for the reasons to follow and if any more on this topic pop up will be dealt with VERY harshly.

3. Ranting is prohibited.

A rant is a post that is often filled with angry and counterproductive comments. A free exchange of ideas is essential to building a strong sense of community and is helpful in development of the game and community. Rants are disruptive, and incite flaming and trolling. Please post your thoughts in a concise and clear manner while avoiding going off on rambling tangents.

15. Posting about bugs and exploits is prohibited.

Bugs and exploits should be reported through the proper channels. Bugs should be brought to the attention of CCP by filing a bug report for our Quality Assurance department. More information on filing bug reports can be found here. Discussions about unverified issues in game can cause unnecessary panic in the community. When there is an issue that the EVE Online community needs to be aware of, it will be communicated via an official statement from CCP after thorough investigation.

22. Post constructively.

Negative feedback can be very useful to further improve EVE Online provided that it is presented in a civil and factual manner. All users are encouraged to honestly express their feelings regarding EVE Online and how it can be improved. Posts that are non-constructive, insulting or in breach of the rules will be deleted regardless of how valid the ideas behind them may be. Users are also reminded that posting with a lack of content also constitutes non-constructive posting.

31. Rumor mongering is prohibited.

Rumor threads and posts which are based off no actual solid information and are designed to either troll or annoy other users will be locked and removed. These kinds of threads and posts are detrimental to the wellbeing and spirit of the EVE Online Community, and can create undue panic among forum users, as well as adding to the workload of our moderators.

34. Posting of kill reports outside of the Crime & Punishment forum channel is prohibited.

More often than not, posts of this nature are made with inflammatory intent and are designed to promote trolling and flaming. Therefore, the posting of links to kill reports from any third party site, or the direct copy-pasting of kill reports from in game is prohibited on all forum channels of the EVE Online Forums, with the exception of the Crime & Punishment Channel.
Specific rules regarding the omission of pilot names apply in this instance. Further details can be found in the rules stickies in the Crime & Punishment forum channel.
