The only sure thing in life are death,.... and drafting?

14,000 draft notices sent to men born in 1800s

Oops. Guess they missed that one. Big smile

I don't think that's a "bug" so much as it is an excellent justification for libertarian-ism. [edit: Good God, I live in that state!

"Verily, I have often laughed at the weaklings who thought themselves good because they had no claws."

One of ours, ten of theirs.

Best Meltdown Ever.

It was a design feature. Lol

"State used a two-digit code to indicate year of birth." Old enough to remember Computer Science instructors telling us to do it that way.

Hated signing up for the draft. Still had reservist obligations.

Now, they call it, "Selective Service." They didn't call anyone, but they know were to find you. Twisted

'They' have not drafted since Vietnam, but when we (males) turn 18 we have to register with the above mentioned selective service, and are available for the draft, if the Federal Government decides it is necessary, until our 26th birthday. Apparently certain non-citizen males are required to register as well if they reside within the US boarders.

When I was a little teenager back in the '90s, I remember seeing people using a 2-digit date. I tried to explain to them the folly of their ways, but I couldn't get it across to these grown adults that it was going to come back to bite them in the áss in a timeframe shorter than a person's lifetime. Fùcking mórons.

Then this Y2K bug stuff started popping up around 1998 and I was all like "I told you so! Didn't I told you so?"

FT Diomedes: "Reaver, sometimes I wonder what you are thinking when you sit down to post."

Frostys Virpio: "We have to give it to him that he does put more effort than the vast majority in his idea but damn does it sometime come out of nowhere."

Well, this is a tried and tested military instrument.

No doubt this means final victory is imminent in Iraq every day now.
