Notification on decloaking

Were you AFK cloaking someone's ice belt in Null Sec and lost your gank/cyno ship? Blink

But in all seriousness:
Lets say I am out and about for whatever reason and there are no stations to dock at. I could log off and log back in or I can cloak. Might be a bathroom call, might be a wife calling, might be a child falling off the roof, might be the boss walking into the room, waiting 30 seconds for a safe log off may not always be practical. A notification would be nice.... to let me know I am exposed... but, then, would it matter? If there is something more important going on, it won't.

Find a deep safe, warp there, cloak up in the meantime.

edit: forgot to add: also, in Crius, you can exempt yourself from fleet warping, so... that is addressed.

Cloaking is the closest thing to a "Pause Game" button one can get while in space.

well this was mostly aimed at finding out which douchebag fleet members keeps warping to cloaked people.
When dual boxing people sometimes forget about the second screen, and bam dead because someone in your fleet "accidentally" warped to you and purposefully decloaked then warped away.
either a notification to say who decloaked you or in the fleet logs of who warped to who.

Currently if you cloak and use a MJD you appear to be cloaked on your screen, but are visible to everyone else on grid.

This needs to be fixed and an indicator would be nice.

A simple beep or recognisable tone when cloaking is deactivated would be quite sufficient.
As long as it is distinct and plays every time the cloak drops either deliberately or accidentally, it would require no training or explanation for people to pick up on it.

Some systems the actual indicator glow is really hard to see, particularly when things are "busy"

A notification is really quite justified when awareness of your state, determines survival.

Making the display of state so low key, is really non sensible.

And if people are at the keyboard and aware, they really should not have to die because their screen resolution does not make it a blinding green glow, but more a green fog that needs squinting at to tell.

But there are those who will say if you are not 20 with perfect eyesight, and the best equipment you should not play EVE.ShockedWhat?Roll

So +1 to warning tone or message.

It'd be nice, along the lines of a capacitor warning.

"The cloaking device has been deactivated".

But then I can't imagine that the voice actor for the UI is still on hire by the company.

And yes, I know there is a visual warning, but you can say the same thing about "the capacitor... is empty".

I really could use this as well, and no the person that did the voice for Aura isn't on retainer and doesn't do voice acting anymore (there was a post about that last year iirc)

I think there should be a sound bite for cloaking as well as for de-cloaking, rather than a notification, much like the warp in or out new sounds.

It shouldn't't be a bang like the warp but I would totally go for a crescendo whoooop when de cloaking and the inverse when cloaking Big smile
