uh, thats the whole point. large weapons on fast boats. tier 3 bc's do exactly what theyre supposed to - long range mobile dps to counter BC and BS hulls.

the only HUGE problem is....most of these boats, especially the AC Tornado, can track and melt frigs and cruisers with ease from 80km+. in addition, these ships move faster than HAC's. while they can be killed by HAC's no problem, tier 3 bc's should not be replacing them.

Warning: this could be very noob.

I wonder how they balance ships. The difference between the talos and the naga is a bit odd. I can put a decent tank on the naga and also have damage mods on the lows. but the talos can't have a good tank and have damage mods in the lows as well. The only thing that a talos has better is turret tracking. I could put damage mods in the lows and make it shield tanked. The Naga will probably still have a better tank.

I think Hungry Eyes might be right. Altho it'd be easier to have HAC tanked well enough and be saved by rr than a teir 3 bc. Not much is going to save a tier3 bc when they are primaried. Obviously I don't mean in big fleets. This would be in small or meidum sized fleets. But would HACs have a chance at surviving in a big fleet compared to these new bc? I think the only thing that would save these new bc would be speed tanking, like people do with the canes?

I remember a thread before where someone was worried that HACs wouldn't get much use after the new bc come. I would compare the new bc to destroyers. Say compare the destroyer to the assault frigate. Neither of them really get much use but I'd see people flying a assault frigate more than a destroyer.
