So, my family got me $100 worth of Skylanders, including the Swap Force game, since my b-day is coming up (July 24th, I'll be on EVE part of the day so be sure to 'congratulate' me in any manner you see fitting. I'll be roaming low-sex). I'm turning 26 and I normally collect trading cards (YuGiOh and Magic The Gathering mostly) and I have a 1,500 Point Dark Angels army for War40k. I didn't expect to enjoy Skylanders much because it seemed like a kid's game to me. However, I discovered that the game is fairly amusing and thoroughly enjoyable on Hard difficulty and I even unlocked Nightmare difficulty.

I also enjoy the figures, and have decided to take my money I normally save for War40k (I have 1,500 points of Dark Angels and don't really need to buy anything new atm) and put it to Skylanders. Right now, I'm preparing for October 5th, which will be Trap Team's launch and I'll be getting it as well as any figures available at launch.

Anyway...I guess what I'm trying to say is, always give a game a try, even if it seems childish, because you might like it.

Actually I'm curious,
are you any good at conversation and painting 40k model's?
If so I would like to see them,I'm an old marine player whose been somewhat disillusioned with the franchise.
Still like the models though, I'll go first .

I have more but I would need to dig them out (my kids are too young to be trusted around models) I'd be happy to show some more if you're interested.

Currently working on lots of 40k I have to pass on to someone (Seriously GW, why the hell don't you do bits?). Kinda want to do these guys

As for skylanders, I have seen that stuff around for years but have no idea how it works.

I have some minor conversions. My most interesting is my conversion of the AoBR Commander to make him more Dark Angel. Mostly, though, I don't do all out things.

I don't have any pictures of Marines, but:

I do own 500 points of Orks and I'm trying to sell/trade 500 points of Chaos.

Hey we sell this crap to kids...

That ringing in your ears you're experiencing right now is the last gasping breathe of a dying inner ear as it got thoroughly PULVERISED by the point roaring over your head at supersonic speeds. - Tippia
