Disconnections, "socket closed" messages. is it Mac related ?

Hello

I'm regularly experiencing disconnections from Eve client, with the "closed socket" message that pops up when nothing responds in the game.

I'm aware this issue has been a topic for white some time now, and there could be a million reasons why this occurs (router, internet provider..) but I was wondering if, by any chance, this could be a problem specifically related to mac users, or at least something that's more frequent than on PC, and if there was an easy trick to solve it. Maybe some basic operations that even a computer newbie like me could use to prevent this annoying problem.
