Saisin, the OP derailed their own thread when they started nerdraging and GD meltdowns are entertaining.

I kind of agree. His wide take on boting added to his point was unfortunate..I still maintain that he has a very valid point beyond his boting statement. With the time he laid out for scanning/warping... there is litterally very little risks for Null Sec ratter because of the immediacy of local..

The fact that local can be used to bot immediate reactions should have been a different subject. Much like there is an Eve metagame, there is an Eve metacode, but this is another subject...

If you'd like to create your own thread, do so. I'd be interested in viewing your killboard in k-space to demonstrate some genuine knowledge of gameplay. As opposed to pushing what appears to be a rather flimsy agenda to change local by supporting every rager who mentions it, then being shouted down.

Nobody knows about it, because it means "**** The KillBoards".

I never paid attention to the killboards, I fly what I like, I fit how I want and I do my own SRP. I kill and get killed like anybody. I am not an elite PvPer by any stretch, but I do squarely play for PvP only. I like playing both parts of cat and mouse, the mouse part is avoiding the gangs, and the cat part is looking for targets I can toy with.

If you need to see a kill board to judge another poster's argument's validity, you are one of the reasons why I post with an alt.

if you can't judge my knowledge of the game by the points I make in the various threads, well, that will not change how I chose to approach participating to these forums, and I hope you can deal with this unknown.

As for your opinion of delaying local being a flimsey agenda, you can then also extend the same to the discussion CCP started about delaying the apparition of K162 in Wh space. This is the same exact issue and consequences. I am in favor of both.

i appreciate the write-up. i do all that and more of course, but even with everything done right, the equation is heavily tilted towards the ratter.

ratter gets instant passive intel fed to him via visual queues - the local list. he doesnt have to do ANYTHING. not even hit D-scan. I enter local - immediate warp. and short of setting elaborate traps on his POS, there is nothing that can be done.

and this is the problem. people in null-sec should not be invulnerable to small-scale pew pew that does not involve ****-caging a pos for 3 days.

It's really odd, that these 'invulnerable' people in null-sec manage to lose multiple Ishtars, VNI's, Gila's, and various other ratting ships (even the occasional carrier) to small scale pew pew every single night, just in Deklain (the only place I pay attention to most evenings).

In busy regions you are pretty much guaranteed that more than one dummy will be afk or not paying attention, and therefore vulnerable to your visits. Hell, I've seen people broadcasing "halp, I'm tackled in anom XXX" not 5 minutes after someone else in another anom *in the same system* was tackled and killed, all clearly available in intel channels, with the neuts/hostiles having never left the system.

What you want (it sounds like to me) is for the ratters to be vulnerable to you, no matter how careful they are, or how much they are paying attention, which doesn't seem particularly fair to me (full disclosure, I'm one of those ratters most of the time).

From my perspective, it's your kind that is invulnerable, tearing through our systems every night with nigh un-catchable interceptors, only engaging in 'pew-pew' when it's a baby seal clubbing, and running away when even the slightest of actual pvp fit opposition shows up.

You can't have it all, or your 'prey' will stop participating completely, and then you'd have nothing to hunt.
