Mission runners incredibly skiddish?

Ok, here is the deal. I have been scanning all day, and doing some ninja salvaging, and having a Basilisk parked nearby and watching at least three pilots struggling on their L4s (including what appeared to be a very underskilled Drake) I decided to fit a probe launcher to the Basilisk, and ninja rep some people, just to burn some time and change the pace.

In total I scanned down and went to three different pilots. After coming out of warp, and targeting them, they were out of there within 10-15 seconds, even though I was clearly a Logi, and had remote shields and remote caps on them for at least a cycle or two.

So what gives? (and, to note, this was in High Sec)

news just in: repeatedly raped womens tend to be skiddish with stranger males that ambush them in dark places.

Too many gankers and aggro setups make mission runners very nervous. I probably would warp away so I had time to figure out what you were up to. Better warp away and be safe than die.

If you want to help mission runners join a mission running corporation.

If I wanted to Logi for people I would be doing that. I just figured that I would burn some time, but it seems to be a waste, lol. Oh well, back to stealing their salvage.

Hek! I don't even know all the logi ships! To me anyone warping into my mission has only one goal, ruin my day!

I mean I know logi ships exist, but I don't use one, I don't plan on using one, so I never done any reading/research about 'em.
You say Basilisk.

Lack of knowledge can get you dead in Eve. I will agree that if someone is coming into your mission it's probably to ruin your day.

Mission runners tend to manage their cap and repairs perfectly, only low skilled runners and ppl who don't know how to fit their BS are having issues in missions, but still anyone is warping to my mission there is high chance they are looking for ruining my day.

Lady Areola Fappington:  Solo PVP isn't dead!  You just need to make sure you have your booster, remote rep, cyno, and emergency Falcon alts logged in and ready before you do any solo PVPing.

A ship can still fit a web and scram even if the ship bonuses are more suited to a logi.

TBH - I would probably also just GTFO if random neutral warps into my mission and starts doing something unexpected. And then I would ship spin in a station for a little while trying to figure out how can remote repping be used to get me killed in hi sec mission deadspace.

There is always possibility there is some new defect / feautre / exploit I have missed and I'm not that keen on finding out first hand how, exactly, does it work. At least not in my mission-running pimpmobile ;)

If anything warps into my mission, even if its something ridiculous like a mining barge, I'm out of there fast.

You don't know how the ship is set up, for all you know it could be fitted to tank your damage and hold you there while the guy warps his alts to join in.

I would agree with you, Pix, if it wasnt in 0.7 sec. Either I can outright gank you right there on the spot within seconds, or I wont be attacking you. No way for me to tank anything.

Suicide ganking is all the rage right now. You jump in to someones mission unannounced I too would warp first ask questions later.

But with such a friendly ship name "Help has arrived!", I dont see how anyone could be so suspicious! ;)

This is a good point. You never know when someone has discovered a new feature that will allow them to engage you. Also it can do "harmless" things like ship scan and provide intel to a ganking fleet.

Hell, if you ever meet me during the rare phases when I'm trying out a new battleship or something (one of the only cases where I go back to missions), you're free to take all the salvage. When I'm doing missions, I'm blitzing them as fast as possible and set the wrecks to blue anyway.

Visitors in my missions are only relevant to me in two cases:

1. Combat ships which could pose a threat if I'm not careful.
2. A shitload of -10 sec status people has just entered local.

In all other cases, feel free to visit me. Especially if I'm outside HighSec, where CONCORD can't protect you. Pirate
