Nothing really new to Crius. New charactars can use T2-rigs for a long time. You just needed a character to fit them for you.

ALL characters can already use all rigs, they just can't fit them.

And you do realize that the whole onlining/offlining 50 arrays just to get the best job cost is much much worse of a clickfest and PITA than the current method...right?

That's now how it works. The bonus seems to be only calculated based on array state *at* downtime.

In her latest devblog CCP Seagull introduces all of the features that are coming in the Crius release. It will be a heavily industrial release, and all of the changes are already available on Singularity.

Head on over here to read it.

Tell us what you think about all of these changes coming on July 22nd.

When do we get info about changes in the skills for manufacturing - MAterial Efficency was suposed to change, how will it change or will it be removed completly and sp reimbursted?

After all the testing I've done with it on Sisi, you all have a ton of work to do. Plus, remember when you released the new organizer tree for assets? Remember how that went? I predict about 100x worse with Crius.

Now I'm not saying that you shouldn't go ahead with all these ideas (the asset tree is awesome now) or that they are bad, but the changes are pretty big and are going to affect so much of industry that I see you working on this for 6 months afterward to get it working as intended. Even if it looks like it'll be ready, the changes are going to be very disruptive on secondary and tertiary levels that a small error could produce massive issues even deeper.

The short of it from my perspective of what is on Sisi is this isn't going to be ready in time and you would do well putting it off for the next round.

So, the rorq changes are being pushed back again, to hyperion or oceanus now I guess? Was mentioned the rorq overhaul would be in crius by a bluepost once it got pushed back from kronos.

No changes were ever announced for the Rorqual at all. Where do you people keep getting this idea from? The only thing a dev ever mentioned about the Rorqual is that it is highly overdue for a rebalance but that is was unlikely to be in Crius. I highly doubt the Rorqual rebalance has even left the drawingboard at this stage.

A disappointingly empty-of-substance devblog, with a bunch of links to other devblogs which are now two months old.

I'd particularly like to see an update on this issue, posted in "Researching, the Future" by CCP Greyscale:

"We're very aware that some of you will feel that you've lost your previous advantages gained by researching blueprints for a really long time, and this is one of the areas we're preparing to focus the most on in terms of receiving feedback and making adjustments or additions to smooth the transition. Everything is on the table in terms of finding a reasonable solution that meets everyone's legitimate concerns, so please approach the feedback in terms of telling us what you'd like to see rather than simply expressing frustration with the changes as described here. We're not done with this yet!"

Thus far, I don't think there has been any CCP response to player feedback on this issue. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

So yeah, people took months to research a BPO to say level 300, where 90% of results was at level 10 and 99% around 30 iirc?? Soooo Yeahh, noooo, CCP should not recompensate anything in here - If You fealt You actually had advantage by going to insane level let me tel You that advantage was measured in single digit isk values on multi milion isk worth items

CCP dev's have already mentioned that its receiving a rebalance "down the road" and that "we'd want that billion+ capital in a field" so they have a drawing board with it.. somewhere..

it probably looks likes... "HOLY!!! WTF ARE WE THINKING??" lol

I would like some type of dev blog to mention the rorqual.. the capital of industry due to fact many pilots are wondering if their investment will be and was worth it.

The only advantage I saw was to blueprint sellers. You could ask a higher price for (example off top of my head) BC/BS ME 100 than ME 50, even tho production cost difference using those two BP's would be small. A lot of players are going to have max researched BP's after the conversion.

And it will be easier for new players to understand when they are "done" researching a blueprint, and what the "best" blueprint is, if they go shopping in contracts.

But how about this idea, copied from "Hull Tanking, Elite":
Give everyone who has a BC or BS BP with ME 100 or better: "Blueprint Research, Elite."

I probably shouldn't prejudge this, and will at least give it a try.

However, my previous worries centered around variable factory slot costs (becoming quite significant now) and the effect of the 'team' changes seem to be being implemented as originally designed by CCP.

So, how do I decide, before going out and collecting all the 'stuff' I need, whether making item X is likely to turn a profit or not ?
Even more complicated for T2 when I've got components to build first then the final ship. T3 is probably the same, or worse.

Am I constantly going to be loading the corp's manufacturing BP's, minerals, etc etc into a freighter and looking for a cheaper production system, then probably trying to open an office there for corp members to be able to use the assets ?

Sorry, but these 2 aspects of the patch are a total nightmare.

How does the 'simpler' - 'good time to start manufacture' sales-pitch work ?

I know CCP Devs don't 'do' industry, but don't they even listen ?

The same small gains applies to many level 5 skills, stacking modules, training up Broker Relations, etc. As with most things in the game, small gains multiply quickly into advantage.

Anyone who has worked to earn an advantage, however slight, by following the established game rules/mechanics, is entitiled to be compensated when the advantage is going to be arbitrarily removed from the game.

And, the only ones who tend to argue against such compensation are the ones who did not feel it was worth their time/effort to earn it, and seek now to reach competitive equality with those players, without any investment.

In any case, CCP Greyscale stated that "this is one of the areas we're preparing to focus the most on in terms of receiving feedback and making adjustments or additions to smooth the transition".

I'm simply asking to hear CCP's version of the "reasonable solution that meet's everyone's legitimate concerns".

Bluepost saying that it was slated to come with the industry changes, which got pushed back to Crius. If you dig back further, and go through the fanfest information, you'll find bits and pieces of them saying that it was planned for the summer release with the industry overhaul.

Sigh, two months later, and still using that April screenshot with the Skiff icon? Lol
I know they got buffed but not to Megathron levels.

Do not actively tank my patience.
