the flaw is called local

Local is not the issue, and if they did then everywhere would be like WH space.

As stated before, if they are truely afk then they pose no threat and are there just to passivly harvest tears. By the number of threads I see on this topic, I'd say they are doing a pretty good job at it.

The real issue is how you respond to cloakers in null sec, assuming we are talking about null. If they are not afk then they are looking for juicy targets and testing defense of such said alliance. This is what happened to me while I live in Oasa. My response was to continue about my buisness in a cheap bait-fit procuror. This way I continue to bring in minerals for my alliance if I was ignored (which I was). The other more risky option to spring such said trap and bait them.

If neither of these ideas agree with you, then remember this. LOCAL IS YOUR FRIEND!!! If you are out in a potential target with an cloaky camper in system then watch local like a hawk! If you see local spike with people that aren't blue then chances are a covert cyno has just been lit and you should run to the nearest station or POS.

Nah, OP is legit. Black Core Alliance owns 8 rather nice systems out in Kalevala, and they do a lot of ratting.

Are you a forum alt? Have you ever wondered why your experience on the forums is always so frustrating and unrewarding? This may help.

I still don't get what the fuzz is all about.

The other day I was sitting cloaked in Amarr, doing maket inqueries and nobody of the 897 minus myself people in local seemed to care about me, afk or semi-afk cloaking there for over an hour.

Maybe I should go out to nullsec again, I can cause so much more grief there, its simply amazing.

Eve Minions is recruiting.

cloaks are part of the game and should not be removed from the game, but afk cloaky campers are the skum of eve. cloaking devices should be nerfed to using some type of fuel or as in sci fi a cloaking ship or structure has a flaw that can be discovered some how some way.

Please explain the following before I approve your idea:

1) How do you KNOW someone is AFK, as opposed to incredibly patient?
2) How is a ship without an active pilot a threat?

I would like to see this... you cloak, you disappear from local chat.

Sigh.....

I have said it before and will say it again: If you find a thread or post to be breaking the forum rules, please do report it. It is however not necessary to post in the same thread that you did so, as by doing so you are breaking said rules yourself by posting off topic. I can assure you each and every report we get gets looked at and acted upon by CCL.
Also, quoting the rules yourself is a bit daft as each and every poster on the forum should know them themselves.....

That said, on to business: As there already are and have been multiple threads on the same topic, this one gets a lock.

16. Redundant and re-posted threads will be locked.

As a courtesy to other forum users, please search to see if there is a thread already open on the topic you wish to discuss. If so, please place your comments there instead. Multiple threads on the same subject clutter up the forums needlessly, causing good feedback and ideas to be lost. Please keep discussions regarding a topic to a single thread.
