Locking times in wolf rayet wormhole

I reported this the last time i encountered it so i'm fairly familiar with it by now but it hasn't been fixed, it seems to me like it's something simple (locking formula missing a variable?)



The locking animation in WR effected wormholes is incorrect

due to the sig radius reduction locking is longer then usual, but the animation doesn't take this into account

you don't really notice it on most ships but capitals are affected a lot

for example it takes 10 seconds to lock a ship normally outside of this effect, it's 15 seconds under the effect
but it will still display 10 seconds regardless, it will complete the locking circle in 10 seconds

but instead of that last bit where it says 'locked' for a second or less normally (server tick?) it takes another 5 seconds of being locked' before it becomes an actual lock.


lock loki, animation counts down from 10 seconds while it circles around my target
10 seconds are over, UI says 'locked' and keeps making the sound for another 5 seconds or so before it turns into an actual lock and i'm able to activate modules on it.

so the total locking time is correct, the information presented by the client however is not




i hope i'm explaining this adequately, if needed i'll see about making a recording


but take any low scan res ship such as a capital and a low signature radius ship into a wolf rayet wormhole and try and lock it and you'll see what i mean.

and i'm guessing in pulsars the effect is the exact opposite, though i haven't really tried in one before
